4.0 out of 5 stars very warm and cozy
I bought this for my wife to wear while watching TV in our old farm house and just got it two days ago. My mother came to visit and tried it out and loved it...she's always cold. So we ended up giving it to her and I've ordered another for my wife. The inside is very soft and comfortable and it provides plenty of warmth. It can be a bit awkward to get the bottom...

3.0 out of 5 stars All good except...
My wife is always cold. It's now starting to cool down so I decided to buy this for an early Christmas present. It arrived and I immediately had her check it out. We were both impressed with the "quality". It is extremely warm and is like wrapping yourself in a sleeping bag. The inside is very soft and I couldn't help but feel like getting one for myself...

So we ended up giving it to her and I've ordered another for my wife. The inside is very soft and comfortable and it provides plenty of warmth. It can be a bit awkward to get the bottom zipped while sitting so she leaves it partially zipped at the bottom and steps into it, then zips it up. A great buy.

Now for the reason I gave this Three stars...The snaps came off just moments after they were snapped. I was shocked and disappointed to say the least. It was made worse by the look on my wife's face. We debated on returning it however, it would be just as easy to sew on new snaps. I'm not sure if this defect is common as I didn't see any reviews with the same issue.

Overall this would have been a 5 star review. If you're not worried about the snaps or are proficient with sewing machine, I highly recommend this wrap.

5.0 out of 5 stars so nice!, December 9, 2008
By

Mine arrived yesterday. My husband came home from working outside in the below freezing temps all day and I let him try it out, and it warmed him nicely - he loved how warm and comfortable it is - so much that he had to order one for himself! I just love the soft interior, and it is sooo cozy! The fact that it doesn't close at the bottom is great for me, because I can actually get up and walk around with this snuggly wrap still around me! This is wonderful! Highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Much better than the fleece SNUGGIE from AS SEEN ON TV, March 6, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought my wife the 'must have' Snuggie from the as seen on tv commercials to find that it really wasn't keeping her warm. Think of the airplane blanket thickness and weight without the isolating properties... a disappointment!!

This one is much much thicker yet not too heavy. It fits like a robe but rather than sleeves it uses a single (strong) button to accomplish the arm openings.

The outside is cotton/polyester blend it appears and the inside is silky soft fleece. This makes it very comfortable.
What she likes most:
- WARM!!!
- SOFT!!!
- ADJUSTABLE as a blanket by opening the button
- Keeps the wind out outside, much more than fleece

What she does not like so much (hence the point deduction:
- Too long to easily walk with (gets dirty!!) but on the other hand: if it were too short it would be worse as you'd be unable to tuck your feet in on the sofa. Perhaps a drawstring would have been nice to pull it up with walking.

Otherwise a great item that will last a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Wrap, November 28, 2008

Nice wrap...
only thing we didn't like is that you cannot zipper the bottom to keep you feet warm (a common feature on these wraps)
Otherwise, it is good quality and a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blanky lovers will love this one!, November 17, 2009

Love, love the Pike Street products, and this is one of their best. I received the zebra print in a light sage color, which is a nice neutral color. The zebra print on the inside is more of a sage green, and the outside is more of a tan color. I always wonder about laundering when I buy something, and I thought I would quote the tags on the wrap for the reader: "100% polyester fiberfill//Cover: 100% cotton, Inner cover: 100% polyester//Finished size 62x68 inches (157x173cm)//Made in China//Made by Blue Ridge Home Fashions, Irwindale, CA//Machine wash, cool water, delicate cycle, no bleach. Tumble dry, cool setting. Remove promptly." The inside material is very, very soft and cuddly, and the outside is that nice twill cotton that is slick and sturdy. I have not laundered this item, but I anticipate it will last for many washings.

I am 5'4" and weigh about 240 (thick around the middle), and this wrap fits me just fine with plenty of room to move around. I can fit the wrap up around the back of my neck, and it drops all the way to the floor at my height and size. I love the configuration of zippers, as you have one zipper which zips from the floor/bottom up to around the waist area (this is a two-way zipper), and then another zipper you use to create a "cape" effect around the neck and upper torso (see the picture). Arms extend out the "sleeves" towards the front so that you could type or read a book, but it's not designed that you have full range of motion for your arms.

One feature I love is that it completely unzips to make a very comfortable and attractive reversible blanket/throw. I believe that is pretty unique!

I have a couple of suggestions about the design of this product that would make me want to give it 6 stars, if I could:

1. it would be nice to have a full hoodie
2. whereas the snaps (2 of them) work OK, it would be much nicer to have some sturdy magnetic snaps for ease of closure -- when you have the wrap on and you're trying to find the snaps recessed down a little in the fabric, it takes some effort to push them closed, especially because of the limited range of motion when you're all zipped up!

I highly recommend this warm, comfortable, multi-purpose, and attractive garment...I mean throw....I mean blanket.

3.0 out of 5 stars If you are short, you won't be able to move in this, November 19, 2009

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I really wanted to love this. I really did. I like many aspects of it. The softness of the lining is wonderful and the thickness of the "blanket" is great. It does keep me toasty. However, if I tried to actually walk in this, I could suffer great injury. I am 5'3" and the bottom of this drags on the floor quite a bit. If I try to walk, I step on it and you can imagine how dangerous this could be. I understand that one-size-fits-all must accommodate many different heights and sizes, but I feel they should at least make an attempt to accommodate tall vs. short. On the flip-side, this is probably too short for someone over 6'. The real issue I have is that I'm zipped up inside it and what if the phone rings? What if the doorbell rings? What if I need to get up in a hurry? As a result, I don't zip myself in because I don't want to be injured if I need to get up in a hurry.

If you are considering this as a gift for a petite person, be aware that this will probably be too long and drag on the floor.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fine and decent, but no Slanket, October 21, 2009
By
This review is from: Pike Street 3-in-1 Softie Wrap/Throw, Chocolate (Kitchen)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
So, I have to say that while I really want to like this product, I can only get so excited about it.

The idea is great: wrap yourself up in a comfortable blanket, with sleeves (of a sort), and have some measure of mobility. What could you not love, right?

Well, as someone who owns both this item and a Slanket, I have to say that the Slanket definitely has an edge over this one. My biggest beef with this product is that it's actually kinda cumbersome to put on and zip up. The zippers aren't the easiest to use -- they catch, and I don't think the one on the bottom of the outfit is really well placed. Also, I find it rather unnecessarily difficult to find the "head" of the blanket. Lastly, I'm 6'1", and don't find this fits me as long/well as I'd like it to.

Here's my summary of Pros v. Cons:

Pros:
* Soft inner lining; really nice
* After you're all wrapped up, it's actually kinda nice to walk around the house all wrapped up
* Decent price ($30)

Cons:
* Tough to zip up; Zippers catch, and don't make it easy to zip. Takes longer and more effort than it should.
* Not long enough in my opinion
* Not easy to determine up/head part of the blanket
* The arms are really only holes in the folded corners of the blanket, which kinda makes me feel like a tyrannosaurus rex when I wear this

In short, while I think this product is pretty good, I prefer my Slanket over it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Warm, warm - but not terribly well engineered, March 20, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have to admit, this thing is a furnace, once you get it on. Or it could be that figuring out how to make it into a robe threw me into such a sweat that it turned my blanket into a sauna, but either way, this is one warm item, better even than my favorite snuggly quilt or my fleece blankets.

The problem is that the zippers are pure junk. I don't know whose idea it was to use flimsy nylon zippers on something like this with the faux fuzzy fur trim right next to the zipper, but they ought to be canned. The top zipper on mine worked, at best, okay. The bottom zipper separated on the very first attempt and from there on out, never worked at all. Not that it was a bad thing, since I probably would have felt like a mummy if I had zipped it up, but it's the principle of the thing.

I'm using it purely as an open robe-type blanket now and find it works wonderfully at keeping me toasty without even having to have it closed in front. If I'm getting up and moving around, I wouldn't want to be wearing it anyway and as a blanket, this has been great in our insane Wisconsin winter and cold spring.

I highly recommend this product for keeping you warm - just not so much for the mummy robe wrap that they show in the pictures. These zippers should have been stronger if the manufacturer intended them to be used over and over that way.

5.0 out of 5 stars SELLER: REMOVE THE SNAPS AND REPLACE WITH HOOKS!!!!!!!!!, February 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I cannot emphasize this enough:

The maker really needs to stop using the snaps. Having something there is CRUCIAL!!!! They are used to lift the front part of the blanket so that you don't trip when you walk. But as many have noted, snaps are useless. Any clip will be too.

What they need to use is hooks, so that the bottom part stays off the floor by hanging off the upper part; they will be held in place by the weight of the fabric itself (you need to have the item to understand what I mean).

But note:
1. The hooks should be placed on the underside of the top part, not on the outside. That way, when they are not in use, they won't snag on other things.
2. There should be hooks at different heights so that this can work for people of different heights. In fact, the maker might consider making the wraps in different sizes if sales increase enough, which they certainly should.

Because otherwise, this product is AWESOME!

I am really sensitive to cold, and I sit at my desk working all day, which means that when the temperature falls below 72, I get really cold.

With this thing on me, the room temperature is now 66 and I am boiling hot! I can easily go down to 64, probably less. Since my arms are covered as I work at my desk almost to the wrist, there is no part of me exposed. We are talking about keeping the thermostat almost 10 degrees lower than normal!!! And feeling WARM and TOASTY.

And I will be sewing on hooks myself, so that I can walk around without having to hold it--otherwise it is dangerous as you can trip.

The product has excellent quality and the price is incredible. It looks gorgeous as a throw on the bed too. Plush and soft on the inside. The blue is really, really nice.

Other than the problem that it trails on the floor due to the snaps getting undone, this is perfection! Highly, highly recommended.

3. ONE MORE THING: Mark the top side so that you are not guessing what part goes round the shoulders. It just comes looking like a blanket and it takes a couple of minutes to figure it out.
