If you're going to hike in the Pikes Peak region, this is the one map you must have. It is large but good quality. I'm buying a second to cut up into sections to make it a little less wieldy when I'm out hiking. It covers virtually every trail in southern Douglas County, El Paso County except for eastern portions, and Teller County. It also has several interesting landmarks such as the location of Pike's cave on Mt. Rosa. The scale is very useful for hiking and so are the topographical and feature marks.

Best map in the Pikes Peak area. Never hike without it and keep one in my jeep for off-roading. Would recommend for anybody!

I love this map. I love the scale of the map. I love the material it is printed on. The USFS office does not sell this map, but every one of their trucks out on the forest carries one and their crews love it. Every time a new version comes out , our local Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team, and the Wildland Fire SUppression Crew buy over 100 of these folks maps.

This is a large, high-quality map of the Pike National Forest and adjacent areas west of Colorado Springs. Lines of constant elevation, trails, roads, and landmarks are shown in precise detail. The map is intended to be used in the field, as it is waterproof and tear-resistant.

Hikers take note: This map does not show every single hiking trail within its area of coverage. If it did that, I'd give this map a six-star rating! The map shows most of the popular trails, which are described in some detail within the margins.

Echoing earlier reviewers, I'd consider this a must-have map if hiking, camping, or otherwise spending time in the Pike National Forest.
