4.0 out of 5 stars Dave & friends keep on Rockin' ! October 16, 2001
Format:Audio CD
If you are a fan of good old, raucous, rollicking, live Rock'n'Roll then this disc is for you! Dave and his band (including sometime compatriots Billy Bremner on guitar and Geraint Watkins on keyboards, among others) blast thru these fifteen tracks like there was no tomorrow. There's not a lot of subtlety and nuance here (Thank God), just wailing guitars, rolling piano, earnest vocals and steamroller rhythms. Slap this disc in your player, crank it up and Let it Rock!
One note of caution: If you listen to this disc for the first time in your automobile (as I did when I bought it) you may feel inexplicably compelled to exceed posted speed limits so please be careful and exercise some restraint! ; )

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! What an Album! March 8, 2007
Format:Audio CD
Wow! What an album! This is Dave Edmunds at his best, with an absolutely outstanding band backing him up, performing great songs with inspired, no-holds-barred abandon and explosiveness. Rock and Roll just doesn't get any better than this incredible CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Dave Edmunds album ever! January 11, 2002
By Manfred
Format:Audio CD
This is the best, tightest Rockin' & Rollin' Dave Edmunds album ever thanks to the band backing him up, The Refreshments from Sweden! They have toured many times with Dave Edmunds. It's a shame that this great band get no credits at all on the cover! I have all their CD's and they are all great if you love Edmunds / Rockpile Rock'n Roll!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Happy Listener October 11, 2014
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Hadn't heard too much live stuff from Dave Edmunds, have been buying his stuff since Get It in the 70s. Thought this was a DVD - didn't see or ignored the word Audio after DVD and had never heard of that anyway. While originally disappointed it wasn't film, i played and enjoyed the music very much, but I couldn't play it in the car. Eventually I thought maybe it was on CD and looked on Amazon for it, found this and bought it. Very happy with this recording, I think it's better than the Dave Edmunds Live at Rockpalast recording, though that has a DVD with it. On this CD, it is great rock all the way, the backing band The Refreshments, plus Billy Bremner and Geraint Watkins does a great job (as you would expect) and I have new appreciation for DE and am now on the hunt for some of the old stuff on CD, especially Get It and others from around that period. The only disappointment with Dave Edmunds is that while he is deservedly widely appreciated, he hasn't had the recognition he deserves. Still, I really like this CD a lot and would recommend it to anyone with similar tastes.
