4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed Pile from Pansy Division, August 12, 2000

This review is from: Pile Up (Audio CD)
This is not their best CD. If you want to start with the all gay male punk band, start with any other of their CDs. This is a compilation album, and the quality is somewhat mixed.

Half the songs are not among their best. On the other hand, this is the CD with "Bill & Ted's Homosexual Adventure," "Touch My Joe Camel," "Homo Christmas," and (best of all) "Smells Like Queer Spirit."

If you like rock and you're gay, check out Pansy Division. (Straight guys just don't seeme to get this stuff; I don't know why.) After you've bought a few of their other CDs, and you know you have to have them all (like me), get Pile Up.

Pansy Division's cd, Pile Up, is full of hilarious songs that appeal to the homosexual listener. Always a good time to be had while listening to the CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Open-minded fun, September 17, 2008
This review is from: Pile Up (Audio CD)
I first heard Pansy Division when they opened up for Green Day years ago. They have an edgy sound with catchy melodies, however, you need to be open minded and no homophobe to enjoy them. Most of my friends get a real charge out of the remakes Pansy Divison does of other groups' songs. It's fun to see their expressions as they hear PD's new lyrics to the old songs. Overall, PD is a great CD to listen to in the car although you may have to watch yourself--- you don't want to be caught at work singing, "he had the dick of death..." LOL

This is not the typical boy loves boy CD. It is full of funny insights on the life and times of a sexually active gay man.

This is good rock music with uncompromising lyrics that tell it like it is. If you can handle it, check it out.
