This is a book with an agenda; it begins, "Did you know that God had a special plan for America?" While the story of the Pilgrims can certainly be cast as a Christian drama, the book would be much improved by more careful attention to the few known facts. While the author has apparently read William Bradford's "Of Plimoth Plantation" she does not always relate events accurately; she does not list Bradford as a reference. The book includes a play suitable for young children to produce; 'No Turning Back' takes place on the Mayflower. References cited include the Bible and three books including "Teaching and Learning America's Christian History" by Verna Hall and Rosalie J. Slater.
