I found this book to be a fascinating history pilgrimage and relics. A balanced approach that revealed the beauty of the faithful penitents who started the practice and the appearance of false relics and the reaction to them.
Well written in academic sense, but this is going to appeal to the those who are interested in the subject and knowing more about it. |
