5.0 out of 5 stars excelent guide for compostella, June 26, 2009

I bought the book and I am just returning from the Camino from Porto to Santiago. The book is very good and shows all the ways and things to do. I bought the 2004 edition which is outdated on some restaurants and hotels, but I just bought the 2009 edition and everything has been updated. I recommend the book to everyone who goes to the Camino (this is my third time, first in Portugal) because it has all the "to do" things you really have to do. My only reservation is that the book is written to pilgrims that make the camino with a budget. There are some good hotels and restaurants on the cities noted by the book, but I would include some more for the pilgrims that are rich.

5.0 out of 5 stars Camino guide, April 19, 2011

I recently walked the Camino Frances and used Bierley's guide. It was my "Bible" along that month-long route. Next, I'm walking the Portuguese route, so it only seemed common sense to buy his guide for that route! It looks to have the same helpful tips, where albergues are, restaurants, hotels, etc. I literally planned every day from his guide on my last Camino. This guide is also brand new and updated! I would highly recommend his guides!
