This review is from: Pilgrims in the Kingdom: Travels in Christian Britain (Paperback)
Oh, how I wish that I could have accompanied these pilgrims on their way. This book will enrich the reader with its substance -the deep faith of the saints it chronicles over a 1500 year span - and the magical allure of the "sacred ground" walked by such as St. Columba, George Herbert, John Wesley, C.S. Lewis and the others. You will learn much in the reading. You will appreciate the "look and feel" of the book. And if you have any heart for true Celtic, Catholic, or Protestant Christian history in England, Scotland, and Wales, this book will be a blessing. It brings both the senses and the spirit alive. These pilgrims certainly made progress on their journey!
