This album is best experienced on vinyl, cd, mp3s, streaming or whatever. I think Scott Reitherman is one of our greatest songwriters working today. The music is so unique and creative. Throw Me the Statue is another project of his and full of wonderful lyrics and a variety of instruments and instrumentation. It's pop for brainy people.

I would say that Pillar Point has a similar style as to Throw Me the Statue, but is a bit more melancholy and moody. But strangely enough it is just as listenable. The lyrics are like images. They are there to be descriptive. It's not really a narrative. It's rhythmic and a treat to listen to.

I have the yellow vinyl and I've been listening to it for two weeks. There is so much detail. Listening on great in ear headphones, and then on your stereo speakers, switching to on ear headphones creates a different environment entirely. It's so rewarding and doesn't get old. I also remember listening to Pillar Point in my fiance's Corolla and it sounded amazing.

Scott Reitherman's attention to detail and understanding of dynamics and space is unbelievable. I swear if you hear this album, you'll want to create your own music right off the bat. And I suggest you do that, because it's a really rewarding experience and extremely fun. Create!

My fiance' says it has "good beats."

Take care.
