5.0 out of 5 stars Contains a summary of Fr. Rozycki's theological study of the Devotion, October 22, 2009

This review is from: Pillars Of Fire In My Soul (Paperback)
I keep a copy of St. Faustina's Diary in my car and another copy on the nightstand by my bed. I wore out my first copy, a used mass market paperback, and bought a new copy recently. And I'm glad I did! My new copy is the third edition and has an introduction (different from the one in the 1st and 2nd editions) written by Sr. M. Elizabeth Siepak, ZMBM, in which she spends several pages on another work, a "rigorous, scholarly analysis" by an "eminent and highly esteemed theologian", Rev. Prof. Ignacy Rozycki. Fr. Rozycki spent nearly a decade making a thorough theological study of the Diary for the Vatican as part of the official investigation into Sr. Faustina's cause for canonization.

After searching and searching for a copy of Fr. Rozycki's 500-page tome in English to no avail (I did find Italian, French and Polish), imagine my surprise and delight when I opened my brand new copy of Pillars of Fire in My Soul and flipped through it to find on page 93: the Essential Features of the Devotion to The Divine Mercy, by Fr. Ignacy Rozycki. It's a summary, not the full-length text of the original study, but I'm still excited. I just received this book (along with several others) last night, so I can't write a more extensive review yet. But I wanted to share this important information with anyone who might also be searching for Fr. Rozycki's study, not realizing that a summary of it is in Pillars.

Peace be with you.

This review is from: Pillars Of Fire In My Soul (Paperback)
"From her [Poland] will come forth the spark that will prepare the world for My final coming" says Jesus to St. Faustina. "Before the Day of Justice I am sending the Day of Mercy". ...[B]ecause the awful day, the day of My justice is near". Find out the theology and insights of these Words of Jesus in this book from the priests who were the saints confessors and from theologians dedicated to the Divine Mercy.
