Hi. You cannot machine wash them as there is hardware inside. I would use a warm soapy cloth for spots on my granddaughter's and freshen it by lightly spraying with Fabrese. Actually they stay very clean as it is used in bed. Hope this helps. My granddaughter loves hers. I've given away 4 as presents. Sincerely, Carol
Dream Lites do not 'charge' up like your cell phone does. The run on regular 'AA' batteries. You could also use rechargable batteries, however the dream lite does not charge them. You would have to use a battery charger made for charging rechargable 'AA' type batteries.
That being said, the dream lites do come with a jack that can be used with an a/c to d/c adapter. This will let you run the dream lite without batteries, Keep in mind however that the adapter is going to limit the movement of the dream lite. Also for safety sake never let your child go to sleep or play with the dream lite while using a corded adapter, I would only use the adapter if you were placing the lite where it will be stationary like a dresser or night stand.
we seem to get about 15 to 20 hours on standard 'AA' batteries. which translates to 1 to 1 1/2 months if our child uses it to go to sleep each night.
Hope that helps,
The lights are LED lights. My son managed to somehow break one of the wires inside the dream lite and I took it apart to fix the wire. Sorry to say but you may not be able to replace the light yourself. If you have a local electronics store you may ask them if they can fix it or if they know someone who could...
Hi, the switch has two options. Turn it one way and it stays on about 20 minutes. Turn it the other way it stays on all night. Since my daughter takes forever to fall asleep and does wake up in the night often enough, I keep it on all night. And I haven't had to change the batteries that often!
