Yet another release which is made possible because the recordings featured are now considered in many parts of the world as "Out of Copyright".

Doris Day was signed for most of her singing career to Columbia Records (Sony Music). They own the majority of her hit singles and other music recordings. This release is an "unofficial", "unauthorised" compilation which uses old vinyl records as its source (and not the original master tapes!).

As this is also an "unauthorised" release no royalty will go Ms. Day which I think is quite unfair. If you want to guarantee yourself the best sound quality possible then treat yourself to any of the releases below which are issued by Columbia/Sony Music:

- US 2CD set "Golden Girl: Columbia Recordings 1944-1966 (2CD)"
- US CD re-issue of Doris's 1958 hits compilation "Greatest Hits"
- European CD "Daydreaming: The Very Best of Doris Day"
- European CD "25 Movie Greats"
