I love this book. Every time I'm looking for a muffin recipe this is my first place to look. It offers variations on many recipes. It has a section for biscuits, quick breads, scones and coffe cakes as well. Wonderfull recipes.

My life after retirement centers on cooking and baking - mostly baking! I have over 2000 cookbooks, and more than 50 on baking - this one is easily the best source of recipes for quickbreads I've ever come across - and why not? Who, other than Pillsbury, have had their noses pushed into America's best quickbread recipes annually for ... who knows how long? And if they decide to do a "Best" collection, you bet it'll be good!

My personal favorite is Current-Cardamom Scones on pg 119 - my local fame as a baker has been forged by doing this one for my wife's Red Hats ladies annually.

I purchased this cookbook several years ago. I have made many of the muffins in different sizes (just adjusted the cooking time). I especially enjoyed the streusel-topped pumpkin muffins (made into the jumbo muffins), plump carrot muffins and the banana oat muffins (made into the mini muffins). The book gives tips, recipes variations and beautiful illustrations for every recipe in the book!

I use this book every week........I usually make bread instead of muffins with each recipe which the front of the book says you can do by usually doubling the cooking time of a muffin.......I also substitute ALL whole grain flours to make it healthy. This book has been outstanding in the different great flavors and combinations it provides. This is one book I truly treasure and would be one of those "keepers" if I was only allowed to keep just a few of my cookbooks. I know you will enjoy it.

I bought this wonderful book one month ago, and since then I've been baking a lot, I made the corn muffins, the banana bread and the blueberry brunch cake and all of them were delicious.
I'm very happy with my purchase.

To say that I was disappointed in this book is an understatement. I expected so much more coming from a brand name such as Pillsbury. There might be one or two good recipes but is most certainly not worth the money I spent on it. Make sure and shop around if you are looking for a muffin recipe book cause this one leaves you feeling cheated.
