I bought these pens for sewing! Yes, sewing with PENS not PINS! I had heard they were erasable from fabric, so I decided to give them a try. When used on fabric all you have to do is iron over the fabric with a steam iron and the marks disappear like magic! These are really great. I have sewn for years and had problems with marking fabrics. Old carbon paper is permanent, so watch out! Some markers wipe off before you get the item sewn. Other markers are supposed to disappear after a number of hours but disappear before you can get the item sewn if the humidity is high, or they seem to have disappeared and come back permanently if you hit the spot with an iron. There are some that are supposed to disappear when you spray water on them, but if you accidentally touch them with the iron they are also permanent. Some of marks also run and make an awful mess when water hits them.
These pens are really a dream come true. Just don't write something you want to keep or sign a check with them!

I am an obsessive pen buyer! I have been on the hunt for the perfect pen and now my search is over. These pens.. are.. AMAZING. They have a great grip, fine point, wonderful clear ink that doesn't bleed and add erasable to all that! These are galaxies apart from the old erasable pens of my childhood: no noxious odor, no globs of ink when you write and no shadow of words that won't fully erase. These babies are perfect.

I bought these pens for quilting. I love that they can just be ironed off and disappear. (I realize they will reappear in freezing conditions, but they can just be ironed off again if the quilt ever freezes, plus, while I didn't test it, many people say they wash out.)
On light colored fabrics, they do exactly what I want.
On dark colored fabrics, they leave a white line behind. This means they are unuseable on darks. That is a huge bummer!
If you are using these pens for quilting, be very careful to test every fabric!
For writing: they write nicely, but not as smooth as a regular pilot pen. The erasing is easy, and only messed up one paper I tried it on, a greeting card, it rubbed up the background too. I'm not sure this is a great eraseable pen though, because you can't leave your work in the car (like many students do accidentally) as the heat will make it disappear, and if you do use the freezer to regenerate it, it regenerates the final work, and all previous versions- if you did a lot of erasing and rewriting, that could be a mess.
I did use it for "secret spy writing" to my nephew though :)
