With a Pilot FriXion Ball Erasable Gel Ink Pen in hand, you can erase and rewrite repeatedly without damaging documents. Designed for smooth writing, these pens use thermo sensitive gel ink that disappears with simple erasing friction. Write, Delete, Repeat! An erasable pen that finally works! Available in a 6-pack containing 1 each of: Black, Blue, Red, Pink, Orange and Purple. Please note: These pens are not recommended for use on legal or official documents.

As a teacher, I use colored pens all of the time, and now that I have found a smooth-writing, easy-to-erase product that comes in vibrant colors, I will never use other pens again. I will agree with others that these pens go through ink very quickly, but their effectiveness as a writing tool is worth it for me. I have also found that the finer tipped versions use less ink. And though refills are not available everywhere, you can buy them through Japanese import retailers. Pilot also makes a style of this pen with a barrel that feels more like a pencil and with an eraser on the cap; however, they are not refillable.
Pros:
-- Great color selection.
-- The pens write smoothly without skipping, especially once they're "warmed up."
-- The ink erases thoroughly (and I've never had problems with it tearing paper.
-- There are refills available.
Cons:
-- The ink is heat sensitive, so it is not recommended for important documents or those that will be exposed to extreme temperatures.
-- The ink runs out fairly quickly, but then again, it actually feels great to use up a pen refill (as opposed to all those partially used pens all over my house and classroom).
-- The pen has a design flaw in that the eraser is on the end of the pen. Since this is where the cap is stored when the pen is being used, the cap has to be removed to access the eraser.

Amazon Verified Purchase
I saw this product demonstrated at a quilting and crafting expo. You can mark on fabric and iron out the mark after you've stitched. This is great for quilters and other creative folk, but there are some caveats. You MUST test the pen on the fabric before you quilt. In some cases, you can see a white line after ironing out the mark. Also, if you were to mark the quilt and iron out the marks, if you put the quilt , say, in a freezing cold car, the marks can come back. (Not cool, if you've spent months on an heirloom.) The ink does wash out very easily, though. For marking a seam or cutting line, though, this product is the best. Marks very easily. The range of colors in the multi-pack is very good.

These pens are great. I have always been a fan, and when I recently saw them online in a variety of colors, I had to get them. I bought three packs at once, and do not regret it. They erase wonderfully, and they write smooth. Just don't leave your notebook with all your math homework in the hot hot car, or it will all disappear (this can be fixed by putting the notebook in the freezer for a while, but if you're in a hurry that is not good)!!!

Eraseable pens
Not so great. They don't erase well at all. Don't try to erase on newspaper, makes a dirty mess.

Pilot FriXion Ball Pen 0.7mm
Not all that great! 0.5mm is def better. Ink runs out really quick and its not refillable so just gotta get new ones. Read more
