Best Mechanical Pencil hands down.,

I've been hooked on these since the late 90's when I first tried them. I'm an designer and every piece I've created over the last ten years started with my Dr. Grip Pencil. It feels great in my hand and I hate drawing with anything else. My only complaint would be that once the eraser is used up I don't know where to find a replacement that will fit.

My favorite pencil as of now. I had one of these back in grade school and I ran across the old one and then ventured out to find a new one.
I found these on amazon hoping it would be the exact same one as the old one, with the shaker feature. Well, couple days later I received the pencil and was disappointed that it didn't have the shaker feature. Hence the loss of a star. I did go looking for the one with the shaker feature and did find it as well on amazon, it is charcoal grey and it is a ltd model. So if your looking for a dr grip withe shaker, look elsewhere and find the dr grip ltd. Besides the lack of the shaker feature(which is a great novelty) on this dr. grip, the pencil handles well and the shaker feature isn't missed as much. Defiantly highly recommended. But like I said, if your looking for the shaker dr grip, this isn't the right one.

This is my favorite mechanical pencil. It writes smooth like a pen and is comfortable to hold. I have had mine for 5 years and it is still in great condition and working great.

This is a fabulous pencil-- except that I use a pencil when I write something that must be erasable. The tiny eraser of Dr. Grip is inadequate for me, and covered with a small metal cap which must be removed and kept in a safe place while I erase. I chose Dr. Grip while searching for a pencil that could accommodate my increasingly arthritic fingers. Dr. Grip does that well-- it is comfortable to hold and allows me to write a long time without fatigue. However, I enjoy the same level of comfort with the Papermate PhD, which has an always-ready twist-up eraser that lasts forever. A fabulous pencil for many, but not a good choice for me.

The Dr. Grip line has always been my favorite. I really don't buy any other pens or pencils as these last for years with proper care. I always buy an 'eraser pen' to go with the pencil because the eraser on the Dr. Grip pencil is very small and runs out quickly. Otherwise a great value!
