My local office store discontinued fine point refills for Pilot G-2 pens preferring to only sell the disposible pens. I found these and ordered them. They work great.

Alright, "best" is an other-statement. But the Pilot G2 is a great pen. The gel doesn't smear or skip, it has deep rich color, and it writes on most every kind of paper without being too bothered by fingerprints or other contaminants that cause other pens to fail. They never seem to dry out either. Their extra-fine points are a joy to an accountant's eye.

But they ARE expensive. We have a lot of them walk out with clients, an unfortunate thing. And when they run out of ink (and they do a bit faster than traditional ballpoints), well, it seems criminal to toss them. The barrels and retractable mechanisms are nicely made, and throwing them away is a waste. But at Office Depot the refills are practically as expensive as the full pens in the 12-packs. So I was delighted to find these refills at about 30% less per pen than the new ones. Plus, when you are $4 short of the threshhold for free Amazon shipping, these are a terrific way to bring your order up past the cut-off without buying things you'll never use.

These little bastards were out of stock at my local office supply store so I bought them here. I've been using the Pilot G2 and Pilot G2 Pro for the past 2 years or so. I use writing instruments daily and go through lots of ink.

I'm partial to gels and this one has really been great for me. Not too fine a point and smooth writing. Even though I do lots of writing during the day, my hand does not get fatigued with these gel pens/refills.

A nice, cost-effective Waterman refill.

I find the Extra Fine (.5mm) refill to provide good, but not great, writing.

(It's a little too scratchy.)

I've also tried Bold (1mm), which is smooth, but a bit blotchy.

I need to find a FINE (.7mm) refill.

These pens write dark and smooth and they come in a variety of colors. However the ink smears a little when wet. I would rather use refills than fill up the landfills with plastic pens.

Excellent product for the money. I have used the G2 pens for years and love the even flow of writing it gives me.

I like these refills. It saves me money. I don't have to buy new pens. It is way cheaper at amazon then going to retail store. I liked it and I would recommend this.

The product description states these are the extra fine; I purchased the fine. They write and flow very nicely. Overall, Pilot makes great pens. The refills fit right in the Gel Ink pens. Plan on buying refills for the red & green Gel Ink Pilot pens I have. If you don't care for gel ink pens, give these a try!

Went to a Staples vendor show at school and received a free B2P pen (Bottle to Pen that uses half of a recycled water bottle to make the pen). Searched for a refill and found these on Amazon. It's a good price and it does exactly what it's supposed to do -- write. It's not the smoothest gel ink rolling ball, but I actually prefer not-so-smooth, so I can control my handwriting better.

This is a great pen for writing especially with low stress. If you have the actual empty pen shells, then these refills are the more economical way to go.
