5.0 out of 5 stars Does for Flash what Dark Knight did with Batman
Well, how or where to start. Maybe pointing out that The Flash 90s TV series could and should be considered as the beginning of what you can call as a well rounded and very grounded adaptation for a comic book hero.
So, if you consider yourself a fan of more contemporary adaptations, such as TV's Smallville, or the bigscreen The Dark Knight then you'll love this...

2.0 out of 5 stars Bleah.
In animated versions, Flash is depicted as a funny, intense, fast dude. This version, partly due to what they could do with video at the time, stinks. The plot is sketchy, the "bad guys" are poorly depicted and are definitely not appropriate for children and the acting is something out of a 5th grade play. Go watch Justice League or The Batman Season 5 to truly enjoy the...

This was the first try at something of this caliber. It has some degrees of deep and personality. True, the show only lasted one season. But what a ride. Maybe its complexity, which was ahead of its time, was the reason of its early demise.

A previous reviewer wrongly points this as a dissapointment for not being a light hearted show. This is not a kids show. It was never intended to be. You can even see Barry Allen, the main character, using his powers to his advantage with his girlfriend, if you know what I mean. Nothing explicit, of course, but you clearly knew what was going on. Funny.

I think that if you're looking for something of a kiddy, campy kind of show, then you should go for shows like the 60s Batmannot available on DVDs), or, say, even the Power Rangers.
