I don't want to give too much away, but this seems to be a great series. The first four episodes were great and I could not quit laughing after some scenes. Episodes five through eight were perhaps a bit weaker, but still very funny. If you are not easily offended and liked movies like 'the hangover' you will probably enjoy this.

This show is really funny! The writing is great and unlike a lot of comedy shows there is a linear story line and you may even get emotionally invested in the characters in between all the raunchy/dirty comedy this show has. Great show!

I decided to FIOS this. I am glad I did. It is one of the best things I have seen. Full of perfect at the moment comedy. It has a memorable cast a nut balls that will keep you coming back. It is because of this show that I also fiosed one of his hour comedy things. SO funny. I set to record another and will buy them on DVD. I look forward to this coming out on DVD or blu ray. One of those things you could watch again and again. I hope they keep this show going. The only other FX show I watch is Archer and I don't actually watch, I get the blu ray when it is released. Legit is a great new show!!!!

With the proliferation of cable television, traditional sitcoms have become fewer and farther between. It seems like everyone is racing to the airwaves with the rudest, most obnoxious stories possible! While some might be distressed by this phenomenon, the liberation has created some of the boldest and funniest shows imaginable. From the FX stable (It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Archer, The League, Louie), to Comedy Central (South Park, Workaholics), to premium channels like HBO and Showtime--the choices are really endless. And it's a constant game of one-upsmanship as shows consistently push the boundaries of good taste and oftentimes walk right over them. I think it's fair to say that Australian comedian Jim Jefferies is content to smash those notions of propriety and refinement with his brash FX showcase "Legit." Jefferies embraces his role as the unrepentant, oblivious and obnoxious antihero and, with almost no rules, you never know quite where "Legit" will take you next. It may make you feel slightly dirty afterward, but that's part of its inherent charm.

The premise behind "Legit" has Jefferies playing a version of himself. He's an Australian comic trying to manage his burgeoning career from his home in Los Angeles. That being said, it isn't a workplace comedy as much as a dysfunctional family saga. Jefferies best friend is the put-upon Steve (Dan Bakkedahl) and Steve's brother is a wheelchair bound Billy (breakout star D J Qualls). The three form a de facto family unit with other recurring characters in the peripheral family. While Jefferies is crude and vulgar, he is not without heart. His relationship with Qualls in the show's strongest component.

If you like The League, Louie, Workaholics or even Modern Family, I think you'll love Legit. Legit isn't for the comedic faint of heart, see paraplegic who is often the punch line of Jefferies crass barbs, but it's worth muddling through even if you are slightly offended. You won't regret devoting some PRIME time to Legit.

Not all episodes of the series are created equally, but overall, it is hilarious. Not for the uber sensitive, so don't plan on running through the series with your Bible group.
