About the Author

Poldi Mikula is a private pilot, expedition leader for the Mt. Everest region, and tour director in Canada. She was born and raised in Vienna, Austria. When Poldi is not above the clouds doing what she loves best, she resides in Chester, Maryland. Enjoying the destination as much as the journey has prompted her to write this recreational flying guide. This book reflects her experience as a pilot who also loves to have fun on the ground. She previously co-authored and published a well-received Hong Kong guidebook and tourist map.
