Pimsleur has a way of knowing which key phrases will be of the most value and teaches them in a very smooth manner. The sound quality is exceptional - very important in audio learning.

This is a fantastic audio only guide on learning how to speak French or brushing up on your French if its been a while. The lessons are 30 minutes in length, the right amount of time for each lesson (perfect for a commute as well). Each lesson builds up your vocabulary and confidence from the previous one. You'll be ordering wine and giving directions in no time at all. I put it to good use on my recent trip to Tahiti.

I have listened to many cassette tapes and have read many "how to" books on learning french and other languages. Pimsleur tapes are a wonderful way to get your feet wet and get instant gratification in learning a language.
