bought this on amazon. The price was about the same as buying it locally. Oh wait, no, it was less than buying it locally, EVEN with shipping. The box came completely destroyed, so destroyed I was momentarily upset with my wife for signing for it. However, the product had not a scratch on it. Assembly was minimal and simple. My only concern is for how long it will last. To that point, I'm thinking the motor or belt will be the first to go and those are both relatively simple items to replace. Great price on a belt driven fan.

WHOAAAAA!!!! My original review commented on price vs local options. Not sure what happened to the price. (Noticed Amazon is no longer selling, but a 3rd party is). Maybe it's that famous Amazon majicalisness changeroo pricing. Perhaps manufacturer was offering retailer a discount? Whatever. Price now wicked ridiculously higher than I payed. Check local stores first. Shipping on this large item is a big deal.

The fan worked fine for about a year, then the fan mount broke off from the engine section and the blades were slamming loudly into the side of the housing. Damage is not repairable; total loss.
