Product Description

Product Description

Pinball Hall of Fame was designed to capture the spirit of great pinball gaming. Working closely with pinball experts from the Pinball Hall of Fame, the developers created a fantastic pinball experience, with sights and sounds captured from actual tables. Multiplayer action for up to 4 people

From the Manufacturer

Rather than offer the ultimate in over-the-top video pinball, Pinball Hall of Fame aims to educate the masses on the history of the legendary arcade amusement. It features seven classic Gottlieb tables from the ‘50s through the ‘90s, complete with historical information on each. While I love the concept, you can't hide the fact that some of the older tables seem a bit pedestrian by today's standards. Still, I'd definitely go back for more flipper action with T'eed Off, Genie, and Black Hole (which features a cool recessed lower playfield). I also wasn't crazy about the camera, which zooms in close to the ball so you can't see the complete table when the ball is at the top. Still, it's interesting to see how pinball has progressed through the years, noting the considerable point score inflation that's taken place.

While shopping at Target, I found this game in the discount video games bin, and thought I'd give it a chance. I love pinball, and this game is as close to the arcade as you can get. The game features 7 pinball machine games from the manufacturer "Gottlieb", plus a few other games that you can unlock. The games are exact replicas of their real-life counterparts, and the disc has a bunch of extras such as scans of the flyers that were sent out to arcade owners with the real pinball machines. I typically play sports games, but I recommend this game to anyone, especially at the discounted price. The only reason it got 4 stars rather than 5 is because I think they could have fit a few more pinball machines on the disc.

I grew up in an age that pinball machines were considered a ton of fun. You rarely find people going out to arcades any more to play pinball - but you can play it on the XBox!

You can choose from a variety of classic games. There is Ace High, Genie, Central Park, Tee'd Off, Victory, Big Shot, and Black Hole. Each game has gorgeous graphics showing the original pinball game layout. The triggers pull the flippers, and you can tilt in all four directions.

You get images of the original flyers for each game, histories of the game, and full instructions about special features. You play games from the 50s on up here, so you really get a sense of how pinball has progressed through the decades.

The graphics are so nice that you can even see the reflection of the top of the pinball machine down in the area you're playing. The sounds are quite authentic as well.

I was really annoyed at first with the scrolling cameras - they drove me completely insane. Being able to aim a flipper shot at an off-camera bumper was completely impossible. However, I finally tracked down the camera shift option to let the screen turn into a full-screen mode, and the game became quite fun.

Numerous people in my household are now hooked on the game, each of us having our own favorite board. I really wish they had more boards available - the ones here whet your appetite for some of the old favorites. Still, this is a great sign that the technology is here and all they have to do is map in the other boards.

This game has been out for awhile, yet it is still 1 of the better pinball games out there for the original xbox. You can even get cheats for it under cheat codes on line that opens 3 or more games. Worth every penny. Great graphics and sound.

I love pinball games and there really isn't many for Xbox 360 except Williams pinball hall of fame (which is awesome) and Pinball FX so I was pretty psyched to get this after I ordered it off Amazon. This is a great pinball game with 7 classic tables ranging from the 50's to the 90's and the sounds ,gameplay, and visuals are very authentic. It feels like you are in the arcade actually playing these great tables in the comfort of your home. Tables are :ACE HIGH-1957,CENTRAL PARK-1966,BIG SHOT-1974,GENIE-1979,BLACK HOLE-1981,VICTORY-1987 and TEE'D OFF-1993. There are even bonus arcade novelty games and a PLAYBOY table to unlock for more old school fun. Game plays fine on my Xbox 360 with no problems. Some of the tables are challenging and you can change the camera angles to full table view if you get annoyed by the other 3 views( I saw a lot of reviewers complaining about this but the obviously didn't realize they could change the view options easily with a push of a button). AWESOME GAME!

If you like pinball, (works on the 360) then this game is for you! My original was so good one of my guests stole it a few years ago, and never fessed up to it. They were kind enough to leave the case, so I used my Android Amazon Barcode scanner, and found it for cheap! I was stoked!

If you like playing pinball you'll like this game. It's realistic and fun. Some of the boards are tough as they should be.
