A) You are a new gameboy developer interested in seeing how not to design a game.B) You have a Gameshark and want to use the unlimited pinball cheat code. C) You are interested in who not to hire for your next gameboy development project. You can access their names from the main screen in the software. This game has several tables to choose from, but they are all very bad. The physics are terrible.

I'm in the process of completing a collection of every pinball game produced for the North American market and designed to be played on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance (GBA) and GBA SP. I'm glad to have "Pinball Tycoon" in the collection - and in the rotation of pinball games that I play. It's clearly NOT in the same league as the tables designed for titles like "Sonic Pinball Party" and "The Pinball of the Dead," but I actually enjoy the much simpler layout and rudimentary ball physics offered by "Pinball Tycoon." It reminds me of some of the older pinball games that I used to find in bowling alleys and arcades in the 1950s - the ones that weren't very sophisticated and that could really eat up your nickels and dimes in a hurry if you weren't patient and skillful enough to adapt to the quirks of the particular table you were on.If you're going to buy just one or two pinball games for the GBA, then I don't think you'll want this one. However, if you are a pinball addict (like me), then I think you'll enjoy having "Pinball Tycoon" around for those times when you want something simple that doesn't demand a lot of precision and attention. Keep flippin' and keep smilin'! |
