The affordable Pine Technology SM-320V MP3 player offers 32 MB of built-in memory. You can add an optional 32 MB CompactFlash card for about an hour of listening pleasure. This player features extras like a key lock and a recorder that can store up to two hours of voice recording. A 12-character LCD displays the song title and artist.

This player offers a serial connector for downloading music from your PC--less than 35 seconds to download a 4 MB file to the player. You'll need to be using at least a 486 PC running Windows 95. It also comes with software for ripping CDs and moving audio files. Preset equalizer settings include pop, classical, jazz, ex-bass, and flat.

The SM-320V runs on two AAA batteries for up to 10 hours of battery life. It comes with a leather carrying pouch and a one-year warranty.

The case is plastic and has many openings that are unprotected, so it is not usable around moisture. Beware of the manufacturer's claim that it can record up to 4 hours of voice (only if you buy the extra 32M memory upgrade) the basic unit is limited to 2 hours maximum.

I bought a Pine D'Music MP3 player not long ago and so far, I LOVE IT! Its great! The MP3 player's digital sound is top quality, the recording feature is handy and the player itself is EXTREMELY SMALL! It fits in the palm of your hand and can be hidden in a small pocket or up a sleeve. With the recording feature, you can record conversations up to 2 hours and 15 minutes long! Music is downloaded to the player using a cable hooked up to your computers Parallel Port. There are two disadvantages to this player, though: 1.) The memory is only 32 MBs, thats about 12 songs, so you'll probably have to buy a FlashMemory card, such as the kind used in Digital Cameras, to store more music. 2.) The earbud headphones are very annoying because they tend to fall out of your ears when you are on the go.

wonderful item with the abilty to record voice with a sensitive mike. mp3's have never been better than when they're portable. you can listen to what you want when you want, skip free.i've even dropped mine on the floor with nary a stutter. i think the only shortfall is upload time. it does take a bit to load the player but it's worth it.
