One of the other reviews said the clubface finish wore off quickly...I concur. I lost my beloved 60-degree wedge and picked this one up to use until I can find a replacement. My previous one was a Cleveland knock-off but it was lightweight and well-balanced. This one is heavy and "clunky". I had to laugh at the writing on the bottom that says "40 yards or less" since I can hit a 60-degree as far as 90 yards with a closed face and good contact. Not sure what the bounce on it is, but it has a rather "fat" leading edge. It has served it's purpose though and got me through the end of the season (although not very successfully).

I am an intermediate avid golfer and this club has made my Sand Trap days a breeze.
My first swing with the club in the sand was roughly 30 yards from the pin with a six foot sand wall rise in front of me. I made a Sandy (Eagle from the sand) on the first swing and couldn't stop using it all around the greens to make short lobby chips. This club is great for intermediate golfers looking to reduce sand scores and chips scores. A nice club to help upgrade your set to help you improve as you play and get more technical with your club selection to grow as a golfer. Usually I make seven out of ten shots successfully out the trap (meaning getting out of the sand) to land on the green and I live in the Bay Area where our sand traps are usually wet and hard packed. So the low bounce on the wedge is very helpful in these types of traps to really get under the ball. I wish you had the option on all wedges to select with bounce that works for you, since sand and roughs vary drastically.

I've since bought a set of pine meadow irons from their website. This club is well made and looks good. As far as being able to hit a 64* lob wedge with any great consistency, I'm still failing at that. That is not the clubs fault obviously. I would recommend buying the 60* over this if you're in doubt to which one you really need.

Very nice wedge. I showed it to my daughter. Big mistake. She ruled the course with it. I find it a little heavy but useful to get over hills to the green. The price made me buy it and I'm glad I did.

I was looking for a club for making those flop shots that you would normally have to wide open the blade of a 60* and this wedge fit the bill. It is made surprising well for the price I paid. It stops a ball dead at 20 yards or you can spin it back like a cannon shot. It's also not so heavy that you can't do those just off the fringe 10 footers you need to get in the air and roll out.
The only reason I didn't give it five stars was after about 40 balls or so, the finish is starting to rub off the face. I think it should have gone a little longer than that. Otherwise, this club performs just as well as those costing 3x's as much.

This club is a must have for your bag. If you ever had trouble settling a ball on the green and wish you could this is the club for you. this club stacks up well against the higher priced Lob wedges and is worth every penny and more. I left it on the fringe of a green and at the next hole was asked if anybody had lost a taylormade lob wedge. This has helped me lower my score by 5 to6 strokes a round.

lob wedge? I though a lob wedge was 60 degrees,
This review is from: Pinemeadow Wedge (Sports)
this wedge is useful only if you use a 5 wedge system: pitching (48), gap (52), sand (56), lob (60) and this 68 degree wedge, which could be called a super lob or a flop wedge (though i have seen an 80 degree wedge advertised on tv: some say it is actually a 67 degree wedge: I would be afraid that an 80 degree wedge would be so called because you would blade the ball 80 percent of the time: to consistently hit this club, you would have to hit down on the ball so much you would be effectively de-lofting it, sort of defeating its purpose.)
It's cheap, so you won't lose much if you buy it, but which of the other 13 clubs will you drop for this? I'd recommend practicing a flop with an open faced sand wedge (turkey and mayo, please). If you find yourself needing this club a lot, perhaps time getting more familiar with the distances for your irons would be well spent.

I just wanted to see if I could hit a lob wedge. So far, no luck. I have skibby dibbed it 50 yards over the green, and popped it 5 yards. Guess I need more practice!
