To be honest, the reason to why I bought this album in the first place was because I saw they had made a cover of David Lynch's In Heaven.(I had heard some of their other songs too, but they weren't on this cd, and they were pretty good.) So curious as I was I decided to purchase the album to see what they had done with it. And I must say I was really impressed. It's still not as good as the original version, I don't think any of the covers can be, but it was according to me far better than Pixies version even though that's not bad either. And the fact that it's a live-version only makes it better.

So what about the rest of the album then? Well, it's kind of marvelous too even though there are some songs that had to grow on me. I think that their song The Stranger must be one of the best songs I have ever heard (although it shares its place with a number of others). I also appreciate their use of the french language in some of the songs.

Some people, for example a number of my familymembers, might think their music is just awful noise, but I guess that's just a matter of taste in music. I can say this much, if you enjoy Einst'rzende Neubaten (which is also a very good band) you will have no problems at all enjoying this "noise".

And if you wonder why I wrote cover(s) in my title, they do an amzingly good cover of I heard it through the grapevine.
