Product Description

Size: Medium | Color: Paisley

Enjoy the comfort & softness of organic cotton during your time of the month. Hidden layers of microfiber terry layers provides maximum absorbency. Breathable laminated polyester backing prevents leakage.DIRECTIONS FOR USE Wash your Pink Daisy pads prior to first use. Snap pads around your underwear so the tag side faces down. Change pad every 2-6 hours or as needed. When you are away from home, place the used pads in a Mini Bag until you return home. Then wash per care instructions. Avoid washing the pads in public facilities. Pink Daisy pads are meant for personal use only, and should not be shared with others. HOW MANY DO YOU NEED? For one cycle, we recommend between 6-12 small/medium pads and 1-3 large pads, depending on how heavy your flow is and how long your periods normally last. Wash your Pink Daisy pads prior to first use. General wash & care: Rinse or soak in cold water. Hand or machine wash cold or warm cycle. Line dry or tumble dry. Do not use fabric softener. It will coat the pads and make them water repellent and reduce their absorbency. Be aware that if you use dryer sheets in your dryer for other laundry this can coat your dryer and transfer to your pads. Do not use bleach. This will cause the fabric's fibers to break down. It will also cause the waterproof layer of the pad to de-laminate. Stains. Should staining occur, try laying your pads out in the sun, or use an oxygen-based bleach.

Customer Reviews

I particularly like the wing and snap design.

I have a fairly heavy flow most of the time, and I don't want to worry about what might leak out the front or back of the pad as I move throughout the day.
K. Booher
They are comfy to wear, easy to care for, very pretty, and they do what they are supposed to do.

I am re-writing the reviews for all of my reuseable feminine hygeine products. I have tried Charlie Banana regular and super, Bumkins Nixi regular and super, and Pink Daisy Large. I will rate each of them on absorbency, ease of cleaning, comfort, size, and peace of mind on a scale of 1 to 5, and against each other.

Absorbency: The Charlie Banana pads are the most absorbent, followed by the Bumkins, with the last being the Pink Daisy. Since the Pink Daisy pads are meant for overnight use, I find this to be a big problem. They 'catch' the flow more than absorb it. I would rate both sizes of Charlie Banana a 5 in this category, the Bumkins a 4, and the Pink Daisy a 2.

Ease of Cleaning: When you're talking about a reusable pad, this is essential. No one wants to wear a stained one that will only get worse... I rinse mine immediately in cold water and then wash in a regular cycle with oxyclean added. The Charlie Banana pads are the easiest to clean and have virtually no staining, even after being stored in a wet bag all day and getting a little dry. The Bumkins are fairly easy as well, but have minor stains left. The Pink Daisy pads have the most staining, and are not the easiest to clean. The pads are more plush and the fluid seems to get stuck in the fibers. Rinsing is not enough of a pre-treatment - you need to actually scrub a bit. So, Both Charlie Banana sizes get a 5, the Bumkins a 4, but the Pink Daisy only a 1.

Comfort: Okay, the determining factor for me here was determining how much I could feel the pads under any type of clothing. They are all pretty comfy, but the Pink Daisy pads are quite long and can bunch or fold if you're not careful.

I tremendously love this product for months that are at least moderately cool. For warmer months, I recommend a less velvet-like texture, as velvety cloth against skin is very warm.

I have been using these for about 4 months now. I am very pleased with the construction and absorbency. They are thin enough to not feel bulky. They do a good job of wicking moisture away from my skin while still preventing leaking. They are also very stain resistant. I keep a small covered bucket of water in my bathroom with oxy-clean and detergent. After rinsing the pad, I let it soak until I run a load of wash. Some days if I don't have a load of wash I just hand wash in the sink and hang to dry in the shower. I particularly like the wing and snap design. When I am on the go and need to change pads, I can fold the used pad up on itself and snap it shut until I get home.

I ordered these shortly before the birth of my second child to round out my postpartum pad stash. I like the cloth diapers made by Pink Daisy's parent brand, Blueberry (formerly also known as Swaddlebees), so instead of buying my favorite pads from Party in my Pants Pads, I thought I'd give these a try.

First off, they are so soft! The velour is cushy and gentle compared to flannel and cotton, the other two fabrics commonly used in cloth menstrual pads. It's even nicer postpartum when you don't want even a hint of irritation from your pads. They are longer at one end, so you can rotate the pad and snap it on whichever way works best for you--longer side in either the front or the back. I had no leaking problems with these at all.

The good absorbency comes at a small price; these pads are a bit thicker than I like. If you're a fan of thinner pads these may feel a bit bulky, but I just wore them at home--rather than out and about--where I cared less about how things felt. Also, I do wish the velour was dyed a complementary color to the waterproof PUL--the off-white color of the velour stains, and while that generally doesn't bother me, the stains turned a weird, light off-green color after washing. Colored velour would hide stains much better, but then again these are pads and no one else is going to see them, so it's not a huge deal. Overall, these are a good addition to my cloth pad stash, and are certainly the softest, if not my absolute favorite. I'd buy them again if I need to add to my stash in the future.

They are soooo comfortable and I've never had a leak. Sometimes with work I don't have a place to change so I have gone almost an entire day without a problem. I know it sounds a bit yucky but those are the moments that you kinda freak and pray there's no issues. I prefer these to any other types I've bought. I have allergy issues with disposables so that's why I turned to reusable. I really recommend these!

Recently switched to cloth and I love the Pink Daisy brand works very well for heavy days without accidents. For a newbie these are a good transition to cloth from disposable.
