4.0 out of 5 stars This off-beat spy movie is an overlooked gem., March 26, 2000

This off-beat spy movie starring a pre-Rockford James Garner is an almost forgotten, overlooked gem. The movie co-stars George Kennedy and Eva Renzi and centers on the search for lost diamonds in South America. Garner is a fashion photographer sent to South America to do a shoot with model Renzi featuring a new lipstick, "Pink Jungle". They get involved with Kennedy and a variety of other characters looking for lost diamonds. The whole time, Garner is accused by the local police of being a CIA spy. The movie is funny and charming with Kennedy practically stealing the show. Although the movie is more than 30 years old now, it holds up well. If you are looking for some light hearted entertainment with some good performances, check this one out. You will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Changed my major in college, June 17, 2003

Just a great movie. I am 55 years of age and a fan of 60's movies. I changed from a local college to the Flagship in the State of Louisiana. ( LSU - Baton Rouge )

They offered courses in Latin American History and I finally found a major. This movie is just great in all the right ways. It has the locale, adventure, humor and all of the qualities that make a great caper movie. I went to Grad School at La Universidad de las Americas in Cholula, Mexico.

This movie did not send me there, but made it more fun when I realized that it was that town. Would not trade it for the World. The movie is a bonus for folks that have not seen George Kennedy at his best. He was great in Cool Hand Luke. He is better in Pink Jungle.

This was a fun, enjoyable movie. The plot was rather simple, the acting was good, but not outstanding. 4 stars

5.0 out of 5 stars This should be a George Kennedy review, January 21, 2009

I saw this movie shortly after it came out in 1968 and have been haunted by it ever since. George Kennedy adds to any movie he has ever acted in. This is no exception. George sets the standard for the fun-loving, ankle chasing, pistol packing, never-fear-anything, fly-boy adventurer in this first rate action adventure movie with great co-stars. Suitable for anyones collection. Particularly if you are a George Kennedy fan like I am.

Iwas disappointed when I Did'nt see my name on the Credit list.my name was in the paper when it 1st came out.it said that the Dancer in the Pink Dress should've show more of.also someone told me that they saw the movie & that i was on the Poster but I can't fine it anywhere.

James & George were just great, they sure know how to make a girl feel relax & comfortable.Hal Belfer my instructor, was also a great man I work 3 days on that film, & it was my 1st. Universal Studio got me my Card with SAG.

there were over 50 girls audition for that Part. I was so surprise when they choose me, cause there were some good dancers there.
