3.0 out of 5 stars An Offer She Couldn't Refuse, June 4, 2011
This review is from: Pink Parasol (Signet Regency Romance) (Paperback)
....or could she?

Cecily Merton, young and beautiful, needs to barter her hand in marriage to pay for her father's gambling debts. There is nothing unusual about the plot. Enter Marcus Anstruther, the man 'assigned' to assist Cecily in finding a husband. He offers her a pink parasol when she is in need of protection; hence, the title of the book.

Of course they are in denial as the story progresses and they slowly fall in love. He's older with money and she not only is a beauty but has wit and charm. She also has someone else that wants to marry her but then a situation occurs that puts him in doubt.

If you enjoy regency romances I would rate this as middle of the road. As always you have to remember the era. Words are unspoken, perception can mean everything, and true matches are not the norm. With this in mind, enjoy the romance if you want something slow and easy to read.
