About the Author

Barbara Beery combined her natural talents for cooking and teaching to create Batter Up Kids, a children's cooking school, in 1991. She has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Texas, and spent 13 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grades and pre-school children ages 3 to 5 years. Barbara Beery's PINK PRINCESS CUPCAKES is directed to ages 6 and older and offers creative ideas for princess-themed desserts - but shouldn't be limited to a children's cookbook collection. It pairs bright color photos with some excellent tips on how to put together a theme cupcake presentation perfect for a child's party or gathering, and provides parents with some very fine decorating ideas.

I am in love with this book. I have been dappling into cupcaking and the cupcakes in here are beautiful and fairly easy to make. I have a daughter and plan to get a lot of use out of thise book. I was so impressed I found the author's blog and website. It is great for all stages of bakers. There are pictures of the finished product which is always helpful. I wish I could give this book more than four stars!
