1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money
Mix red food coloring into white store-bought frosting for a pink effect? Really? I hadn't thought of that! Make cake mix according to directions, frost, and add mini chocolate chips to make a ladybug? That's the best the writer's creativity could come up with? This book is completely useless.

These books have alot of the cutest, simplest ideas you've ever seen. A couple of the recipes are more just ways to serve something such as ice cream with a decorative flair. At the amazon price, they are well worth it and great activities for you and your little girl.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a Tea Party or a Fairy Picnic, February 18, 2010

I am throwing a fairy party for my daughter's third birthday. First I purchased the Fairy Cookbook from the same author. I was disappoited that almost all the recipies were sweet. So, I decided to give this cookbook a try and see if I could find a couple more ideas that were not cupcakes or browines. It was wonderful! So far beyond my expectations. It has an excellent variety of sweet & savory recipies along with several drink recipies. I am actually going to use far more recipies from this book for my daughter's fairy party than from the Fairy Cookbook.

The recipies are simple, elegant, and easy to make. The book itself is beautiful! My 2-year-old daughter likes to just sit and flip though the pages. She thinks it's wonderful. I highly recommend this cookbook. It is so versitile. I can't wait to get the other ones in the series. They are so well done and are a really great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful!, May 14, 2010
This review is from: Pink Princess Tea Parties (Spiral-bound)
This book is fabulous! My 4-year old had a blast helping mix and pour and bake.. and of course EAT the delicious treats! While there are a couple recipes that call for boxed mixes (life saver for me today!), they make modifications and the ideas are original. Most of the recipes involve baking and mixing from scratch, but it's all practical! And did I mention delicious? Sure, you could google "Princess tea party ideas", but why wade through 1,000's of results when a bunch of the best are all in this book?? We'll definitely be checking out the other cook books in the series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fit for a Princess, July 4, 2009
This review is from: Pink Princess Tea Parties (Spiral-bound)
My granddaughter, the Princess, just loved this book. She asked if you could make the things in the book and was thrilled when I assured her that they were real recipes. The ideas are appealing to both adults and children. And the recipes are good. Especially the icing for the Teacup Cupcakes. May tea be served often by our Princesses. A doting grandmother. 5.0 out of 5 stars Extra fun tea parties!, February 13, 2011
This review is from: Pink Princess Tea Parties (Spiral-bound)
Tea parties are such a fun activity for a rainy day or just a day when you need a little something to do. My daughters love to make elaborate settings for their tea parties and have the most wonderful foods they can find. Pink Princess Tea Parties offers many suggestions for special foods to make for tea parties that will make them extra memorable. It starts out with the Sipper section, where the recipe they have for chai tea would be nice and soothing on a cold day. My kids love chai (we use herbal tea) for their tea parties. The next chapter has Cookies and Cakes that you can make for tea time and even has cupcakes that you bake right in the teacup! Dreamy dipped strawberries in the Sweets and Treats area would be a delectable way to add some fruit to the party. In the final section, there are some delightful ideas for Sandwiches and Snacks for tea time, including chicken salad sushi rolls! Pink Princess Tea Parties is a fantastic book to help you brainstorm some options for having special tea parties!
