The man who can wow a world,

The novi split comprises of David J and David J alone. In his debut album, Keep Moving, David sang about romantic adventures with friends and lovers. It's style was very lo-fi and was, in fact, mostly produced on a bathroom floor. In his sophomore album, (minus a few tour splits), Pink in the Sink, David explores a wide variety of emotion than in his previous record. Most notably, the song entitled "Open" had to be, in my humble opinion, one of the most heartfelt songs I've ever heard in music. Now, I do have to agree with the reviewer up there that when it comes down to it, you reallly have to grow on it, especially if you are used to Keep Moving's lo-fi lullabies. Some more songs worth mentioning on the album are "Doctor", "Settled Down", and "Young Girls."
I might be slightly biased but I wouldn't have gotten to be biased if his music didn't take me in the first place. If that doesn't get you to listen and appreciate him more, he's also one of the most wonderfully nice men in the world!

This album is easily one of my favorites. I didn't know what to expect upon first listen but the second time around really grabbed me. The lyrics flow so well with the melodies. The crazy in love cover gives a new meaning to the word "cover", it's so intense. I'd recommend letting it grow on you. This album is really well done, I've got nothing but good things to say about it so i'll stop here.
