I liked "Barbed Wire & Roses" the first time I heard it. I liked the sound of this new group I'd never heard of before. So when I saw their album on sale I decided to take a chance and buy it, having only heard that one song. From the moment I put the CD in I was in Heaven. I don't know how they are able to blend bluegrass, rock, and country and make it sound good, but this is the best CD I've heard in a long time. You can tell they care about their music first, and any notoriety or fame that comes with it is only icing on the cake. Nashville should embrace this band and promote them, because they will bring some converts to ountry music if given the chance.
Just writing about it makes me want to go listen to the CD again. Do yourself and your ears a favor and get this CD!

If you have read some of my other reviews you will soon realize that my musical taste is a colossal array of genres. However, I must say for a country music CD to catch my ear and keep it that it has to be good. This CD is a total package and Pinmonkey should be proud of what they have created. It is not everyday that you buy a CD and like every song on it, usually there are just two to three that you really like. There is not a single song on this CD that I would write off. I would have to say one of my favorites on this CD is "Fly". After listening to this song for the first time I found myself signing the lyrics and soon realized that I had first come to like this song from the rock group Sugar Ray's "Floored" CD. I must also add that I saw this group open for Brad Paisley and they are just as good live as they are in the studio.

This is a great CD by a great new group. I loved their first hit, Barbed Wire and Roses, and that is the reason I purchased the CD. I expected to get maybe a few good songs, but the entire CD is really great! I didn't dream that the CD would become an instant favorite. The last track, Stay With Us, is probably my favorite on the CD because of it's fast beat. Their new single, I Drove All Night, is also a great song on the CD. The first 3 songs are just perfect, and every song after just keeps on being fresh and great! I would reccommend this CD to every fan of country music. They are real country, and you will not be disappointed at all, I can guarantee that. So, what are you waiting for, BUY THIS CD!!!!!

I absolutely love this album. Although it has more of a produced sound that there first independent cd. Michael Reynolds has a very amazing appalachian tenor voice, Chad Jeffers kicks tail on the debro and wonderful background vocals, and his brother Michael Jeffers is great as usual on bass and has a great voice on background vocals, and Rick never misses a beat on drums and very great saprano background voice.Theres not a song on the cd that I don't love! Its so hard to pick a favorite Pinmonkey song.

If you have ever listened to any music at all, you will love this album. Strong, pure vocals and rockin guitars and banjos make me listen to this cd nonstop. Every song is topnotch, and Augusta is my absolute favorite, with its moody tone and pure vocals. There is not one song on this album that I disliked, and I strongly recommend that everyone purchase it. These guys are great!! I only hope they come out with more soon.

The first CD was great, but this one is fantastic!! The new songs have the same great sound and harmony. It's nice to see some fresh new faces in country music. The best part is that everyone loves listening, even my parents are Pinmonkey Junkies now. This CD is worth every penny!! Even if you're not a country fan, you'll LOVE Pinmonkey!

I loved this CD from the first note of it. Michael Reynolds has such an amazing voice that he makes every song a treat to listen to. I could listen to this CD all day. I love the song "Augusta" and the song "Every Time It Rains". The bluegrass country version of "Fly" was amazing. I would have never believed that song could sound like that. I just love this group. They are the hottest thing out of Nashville in years. They have such a unique sound that is very refreshing. You can tell they love the music. I will buy anything this group puts out. This CD has amazing musicianship and awe-inspiring vocals. Listening to it was an amazing and mindblowing experience. I highly recommend that everyone go out and buy this CD.
