This review is from: Pinnacle Speakers Digital Sub 100 10-Inch 100 Watt Front Firing Powered Subwoofer (Black) (Electronics)
I would like to post a review for this sub so that other buyers expectations are inline with what this sub provides.

First let's start with the MSRP and actual selling price of this sub. It's MSRP is $379 and regularly sells for about 1/3 of that price. My first question when looking at it originally was, is it a $380 sub with a great discount or a $129 sub with a inflated MSRP. IMHO I would say it's closer to the latter. As long as you are realistic and don't expect it to compete with Subwoofers in the $400 range, you should be reasonably happy.

What it is good for:

-Small cube with a 10" sealed driver and 100w amp. It would be a good match with a small pair of speakers for a music system or soundbar for a home theater.
-With careful positioning, an upgrade to a smaller HTIB subwoofer that has boomy one-note bass.

What it is not good for:
-Room shaking, pants flapping deep bass monster.
-Rock Concert/Reference level chest pounding bass.

If you realize that you are buying a hundred dollar'ish subwoofer and don't expect it to move the earth or break windows you will be happy with your purchase. This subwoofer completes very well with other options in it's price range and should sound better than most of the similarly priced ported subwoofers for music. It does reasonably well with movies.

It does have reasonable output down to it's rated 30HZ but falls off a cliff after that.

If you can raise your budget to $200 or more there are better options available like the BIC F-12, H100, PL-120, Premier Acoustics PA-120, etc...

I gave the sub 3 stars because of it's price point of $129. At MSRP it would be one star.
