We recently moved into a new house and had two rooms pre-wired for surround sound. The standard m.o. for electricians is to put the wires into a traditional junction box (j-box) and put a blank cover plate over it. That's all fine and well, but most speaker mounts don't allow for this at all and ultimately you're left with a lot of untrimmed space from the box.
The AM20's are perfect for this. They have the proper holes and size to fit perfectly on the j-box, and allow for just about any mounting option you'd need. They are sturdy and I'd say they would safely support a speaker of up to 10 lbs. I paired these mounts with an Energy Take Classic set and a Polk RM705 set. Both worked great.
If you have pre-wired rooms, this is really the only viable option. Thankfully, it's a pretty good one.

These are exactly what I was looking for. Like everyone else, my home had a low-volt boxes covered blank plates on the ceiling. I used these to hand Polk Audio OWM 5 (mains and center) and Polk Audio AMW 3. Like everyone else I was hesitant because of the weight ... but these things are stable, and sturdy, and hold my speakers at the downward angle I set them at.

My home is pre-wired ceiling mount and the only solution to have a professional look on the speaker installation was this one. I tried different solutions from hardware stores, but doesn't work out well. Even though pricey ($25 per piece), this fits well into the single ceiling gang. You don't need a professional installer to do this and can be taken as a small DIY project. It took me less than 30 minutes to fix 4 of them and since my speakers(tl1600) needs extra long screws, I need to purchase from Lowes. Pre-wired homes this is a professional neat solution

I ordered 5 of these. They were easy to hang and the value was that since i had my home prewired these fit right over ther gang boxes so I did not have to mount the speakers seperatly. They were a bit expensive though. I also wish they just came in a set of 5.

This speaker mount kills two birds with one stone. The prior owner of my house had a Bang and Olufsen system, which required powered rear channel speakers. My new system did not require powered rear channel speakers. So I was left with a problem, a speaker wire junction box and a outlet junction box. Instead of drilling more holes for a speaker mount, I used the Pinpoint bracket, right over the exisiting faceplate of the speaker wire junction box. It is awesome. Clean lines, infinitely adjustible, with many different iterations of bracket combinations. Highly recommended for this unique application.

This bracket is heavy duty and well made. It comes with a variety of connections and a longer "stick" to connect to the speakers so they can be mounted further from a wall or ceiling. They are easy to assemble and the mounting hardware should work for most any situation. I will be buying two more pairs for other rooms when I am ready to add speakers.

Item arrived a little earlier than expected and installed as expected, with a little difficulty on one of the allen screws which required recutting with a tap. Not worth the delay in returning for a replacement and I had the tools to make the fix. Speakers installed and holding up fine, thank you very much.

I did my own wiring on an existing house. These were the perfect solution. They look clean and do the job perfectly.
