Drive!, January 2007
“Even though he didn’t write it with a striping brush, it’s the most authoritative and comprehensive survey of pinstriping design – a critical aspect of the Kustom Kulture. Brilliantly illustrated in full color throughout, with many artwork examples shown in print for the first time, it’s THE essential resource for anyone into pinstriping … Like classic print-and-pinstriping schemes, Pinstripe Planet, is made to last – it’s printed on 130gsm art paper, with an imitation cloth cover and a 5-color UV varnished jacket.”
Iron Works, May 2007
“If you’ve ever been fascinated by the art of the pinstriper, Pinstripe Planet is for you. The case-bound book starts with the likes of Von Dutch and Ed Roth then rolls on to show the striking work of artists in the U.S., Europe, Japan and Australia. Flying eyeballs abound.”
CruZin’ Magazine, April 2007
“If you are wondering whether there is anything that can’t be pinstriped, it might be water. In this book there are striped cars, motorcycles, leather jackets, bowling balls, et al. A book about striping has to be attractive and this one is.”

I'd been waiting for the release of this book for sometime since I picked up a promo flyer for it at an Art Exhibition in the UK (Pinstripes & Pistons-A Celebration of Kustom Kulture held at Scunthorpe, UK) It was worth the wait. There have been many books on the subject, but this one wraps everything up into one extremely informative & beautifully packaged volume. It doesn't attempt to be a "How to..." manual & why should it, there are plenty of other books out there for the budding striper. It showcases the current talent & the past masters of this fascinating art form. A real must have for both the curious "punter" & experienced pinstriper alike. My one moan was that my buddy Tootall Paul (Cornwall,UK) wasn't featured !!!

I was blown away by the coverage of artists in this book. It is outstanding in its entirety and should be part of everyones library who loves pinstriping. Since I am somewhat late in this review, I have purchased the second book and can recommend it as well. First rate!
