You will visit some of the same well-known areas visited by Lewis and Clark on their famous expedition now nearing it's bicentennial celebration.
We have opened the door to bold and courageous adventures of settling the west. Ride along with the caravan herding four hundred head of Indian ponies to the lush, green meadows of central Montana Territory to begin a horse and cattle ranch. We will follow the Mullan Trail to visit the historic Cataldo Mission, Fort Missoula, camp on the sit of the Big Hole Battlefield just eight years following the Battle of the Big Hole in 1877.
Discover why the caravan halted one hot July day in the Big Hole Valley, why the mountain range is referred to by The Pintlers. And then the Rest of the Story. Includes photos, anecdotes, unusual documents, maps and illustrations, even a photo of the Charles Pintler cabin built in 1885 in Pintler Meadows, it stands today.

THE PINTLERS, MAJESTIC THEY STAND--A GOOD READ,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Pintlers, Majestic They Stand (Paperback)
Fantastic reading of the OLD WEST. I always enjoyed the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness, and always wondered where it got its name. Now over a century later readers learn the answer in this catching book. The old photos and documents are an integral part as well.
