Rossi's slim book on how to paint decorative designs on household objects contains a full color picture of each project be it drawing stars on candlesticks, watermelons on cups, or lemon trees on cake plates. All the projects are simple to execute, each comes with detailed instructions, and none should take more than an hour to complete (though the paintings must then dry for at least 72 hours to be wash-resistant). The "useful advice" section at the beginning of the book, which describes how to perform many of the techniques mentioned repeatedly (such as stenciling), could have used some diagrams of its own, but otherwise this is a fine craft book that teaches readers one of the most inexpensive forms of interior decorating.
