5.0 out of 5 stars Soft on my feet
This bath rug is a nice touch to my bathroom - the color matches my beige theme, it's soft to the touch, and absorbs water well. I love that it's reversible so I can switch the look everytime I use it. And even though it doesn't have gripping on the bottom, it doesn't move around or scrunch up when I step on it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Absorbent + Not Fast Drying = Odor?
This bathmat is plush and absorbent; it can absorb a small puddle of water if your shower splashes the floor or simply water on your wet feet after a shower. However, the mat tends to take a few hours, if not overnight to dry.

After about 3 weeks of use with weekly 40-minute machine wash (Ecover detergent) followed by 40-minute dryer, I realize that the mat is...

I liked the first rug that I bought so much, I went back to Amazon and ordered another. It is made of soft, thick fabric that absorbs water yet dries quickly. It launders well, no fading, unraveling, pilling, etc. Your freshly showered feet will thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, August 23, 2008

I love this rug! It's very thick for a bath mat-style rug, but not thick enough for the door not to close over it nicely. Dries quickly after a shower and shakes out nicely. I throw it in the wash whenever I do a load of clothes and it holds up fine. Wish my bathroom was big enough for me to buy a smaller one for in front of my sink! Might just buy one for the kitchen I love this rug so much.

After about 3 weeks of use with weekly 40-minute machine wash (Ecover detergent) followed by 40-minute dryer, I realize that the mat is starting to develop a moldy odor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Reversible rug is a solid choice, November 12, 2008

I purchased the espresso-colored rug to go with Pinzon Bamboo Cotton Bath Towel, Mediterranean (also in espresso). The color is pretty darn close to the color of the towels, which I like.

This rug is reversible, so you can flip it over instead of washing it all the time. (I washed it per the instructions, and it didn't fade or come undone.) Despite the fact that it is reversible, it does not slide on our tiled bathroom floor once it is wet. I am able to push it around with my shoe, but once my wet feet land on it, it doesn't go anywhere. It's quite heavy. I don't think it is absorbant as my towels are since it seems to get wet all the way through a lot faster, but it's not uncomfortable to stand on, nor does it get sopping wet.

This is a great choice if you're going to match up with the other Pinzon colors. Otherwise, it'll go well with rich brown colors. I'm happy with this purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really nice bath rug, July 18, 2009
This review is from: Pinzon Luxury Reversible Bath Rug (Kitchen)
First I want to say I was amazed when I read through the reviews and people talked about shaking their bath rug. I guess I've never even thought about shaking one -- gross! I like the rug and only buy cotton reversible rugs because I wash them often -- and I dry before I even step out of the shower. Guess that's why I didn't understand all of the comments about absorbent, soggy, wet, etc. Anyway, if you like 100% cotton rugs you should be quite happy with this one. Thicker than a towel but not so thick that it takes forever to dry in the dryer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bath mat - Nice, but not for small bathrooms., July 31, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this mat before I realized it had no "sticky" side on the back of it.

Though it is a very nice mat if you have a large bathroom (AKA it only sits by the shower and is not touched otherwise), it is not good for a bathroom that has only room for it to sit in front of the sink, shower, and toilet all at once.

It absorbs water nicely, and dries out fine. It is very comfortable to step on. I like it, but it moves around too much in my small bathroom.

looks good but sheds terribly you cannot dry this in your home dryer. It will clog up the whole system and cause your dryer to overheat, unless you clean the filter every five minutes

The style is fine, and quality is acceptable. I was a little underwhelmed with the softness, but it is still much better than what I had purchased at a retail store. The size was a bit smaller than I was expecting for some reason. I ordered this back in early spring, and it took FOREVER for it to arrive (it's July now). I guess they were on backorder. Still, I don't regret the purchase.
