While the overall on this receiver is near to excellent, it's good to let others know that this head unit, top of the line for 2 din in pioneers mobile entertainment, DOES NOT PLAY MP3 RECORDED ON DVD-R as other low end head units do.

Installation cables detachable (if not in use, ex A/V in, A/V out, etc.)

Cons
MP3 recorded on DVD-R are non playable
Discs inside changer are not identifiable you have to memorize them
Information about the files should be longer
Tricky installation for parking brake safety feature

I just got this dvd player, the first thing i noticed about it was the screen, it's very sharp, and incredibly bright, the user interface is intuitive and very easy to use, the in-dash changer works very well and is quiet and fast. The downside is that you have to guess the disks that are placed in the 6 positions, you can't see wich dvd or cd are in, you just see if it is a DVD or a CD but you cant see the title. Another thing is that you can't play a DVD movie by touching a chapter on the menu, instead you have to highlite it by using a virtual joystick on the screen... Overall is a great piece of equipment and I would recomend it to anyone

I bought this unit at least 4 years ago. It is working perfect. I have studied the new AVH-P4300. I do not think there are many things better in the new unit, except the SD card capacity.
Furthermore the 6800 has more expantion options than the 4300. I have the 6800 working with a TV tuner, a Bluetooth device and a Garmin GPS. Everything just fine!
