This review is from: Pioneer BDR-202B Blu-Ray Burner Drive for SATA (Black) (Personal Computers)
So far so good. It burns CDs/ DVDs/ Blue Ray well. I managed to install this Blue Ray burner into a Mac Pro Quad Core with considerable effort. It's not for the fainthearted! Works great, but one thing is annoying as hell: the flip down door on the 2nd optical drive bay doesn't close properly on opening / closing the tray. The burner's tray is too thick and touches the top and bottom of the opening. I think this is more of a design flaw on Apple's part. The opening is simply too thin and restrictive.

This is exactly what you need for normal day-to-day DVD / Bluray burning. Its not the fastest in the world, DVD's are done at 12x and Blurays at 4x, but I've had faster drives in the past and they fail fairly quickly. I've bought Pioneer before and find their tech stuff to be hard wearing and long lasting, I'm hoping for the same from this. Blurays play very easily with PowerDVD9 and I'm sure just as well with others. Drivers are easily found too. A+
