Very nice drive. It was recognized by Mac Pro without any issues. The only problem was taking front plate of the drive tray (for PC not necessary). It does not come with SATA cable so you have to buy one. Recommended.

Purchased from Beach Audio and the drive arrived promptly. However there was NO software as shown on this Amazon page. I emailed and talked in person to both Pioneer and Beach Audio customer service. Both refused to send me any software. The say the same thing, that the software is included in the order and the can't send it separately.
Beach Audio give me an RMA when asked and I have shipped the first drive back. Thinking it was a one time glitch, I ordered another drive from Beach and it also arrived with no software. I know assume that it is Pioneer's fault, that they are not shipping any software. So BEWARE!! Without any new software, my computer running XP Pro can't read Blu-ray. So all I can say is that it plays and burns Dual Layer DVD very well |
