What can I say about the new Pioneer CDJ-2000, it's simply AMAZING. I just love the Advanced HID feature linking my platters natively to Serato, I've been waiting some time for that. The platter movement on the CDJ-2000 is much smoother than the CDJ-1000's I had. The versatility of this unit is awesome, you can link up to 4 units together to all get music from a single source!! You can use USB, SD, Laptops, and HD's for music sources not to mention using CD and DVD in Disc form. I haven't even had suffiecient time to scrath the surface on everything these platters can do but from what I've seen in the short time that I've had mine is I can see why they are the "Industry Standard"! Pioneer just keep that technology coming I love it. Never would have dreamed 10-15 years ago that I'd not want to spin vinyl anymore but with everything these babies can do vinyl is my second choice. Don't get me wrong I still love my vinyl but these are way more fun!!!

Never before has there been such an advanced piece of hardware available for DJs. The CDJ-2000 takes Pioneer's experience from producing over three decades of CDJ players and hones it down to an incredibly advanced and superbly designed media player. If you've ever used one of Pioneer's players, the CDJ-2000 will be an easy transition for you as Pioneer has a consistency in their players' layout that is evident all the way back to the originals. If you're new to Pioneer, the intuitive layout will have you up to speed and feeling comfortable with the player very quickly. When it comes to features, Pioneer has packed the CDJ-2000 full, and while I could go through and list them, I'll just mention some of my favorites (visit pioneer's website for a full list).

->Multiple media support: CD, Data CD, Data DVD, USB, Compact Flash, Fat32 Formatted External Hard Drives, Computer (with RekordBox Software or connected via native controls through Serato, Traktor, or Cross2 - no timecode disc needed!)
->Link: Connect up to 4 players and share a single music source, whether it be a USB thumb drive or computer. No longer will you need multiple drives with the same music in them for each player.
->Quantize: creates seamless loops that are perfectly sync'd to the beat of the music, meaning you will not have a loop that causes your mix to be off due to setting the in or out point incorrectly.
->6.1" LCD Panel: Displays a wealth of information, available at your fingertips. Track waveform, BPM, Track Name, Artist Name, Album Name, Album Art, Time Display, Menus, Playlist, Device information, etc. It allows you to use the CDJ-2000 without feeling as though you need a laptop connected as well.
->Giant Jog Wheel: Adjustable amount of resistance to get the perfect feel.... Illuminated halo indicates song is about to finish via flashing and will also illuminate red in color when "live" if connected to newer Pioneer DJM Mixers via Pro DJ Link. Center Jog Display indicates Vinyl/CDJ mode, "needle" location, touch, and visual indication whether the track is playing.
->RekordBox: Included with CDJ-2000 is Pioneer's RekordBox software for music management. I highly recommend using and becoming familiar with it as it will make your life easier when at gigs. Organization, hot cue management, loop memory, playlist management, exporting to devices, importing playlists from iTunes, etc. If it has to do with prepping your music set, RekordBox will make it easier.

Due to the high price, the CDJ-2000 may be considered "too expensive." While it may be expensive, you definitely get what you pay for; it's the BEST on the market. amazing product , just sold my cdj 1000mk3 with hesitation because i didnt really have a need to upgrade to anything new , But all i can say is wow ...... the control capability on these babies is ridiculous . I have recently become a fan of Traktor Pro , but will Never become a laptop dj ... i love the feel of the cdjs and these once again have outdone my expectations .
tjhe design is beautiful the accessibility to music on sd cd dvd or flash or hard drive is immaculate ...and rekorbox lets you set up a set and tag songs in an quick and organic way ..
once again these babies are worth every penny ...

Great piece of equipment. I love the HID control with Serato! This is now my primary system for mobile gigs. I used to use the Pioneer CMX-3000 with DJM-3000 which is fine for mobile stuff but is limited for mixing. All I can say is.....love these CDJs. I'm using it with a DJM-909 and SL3 but will eventually go with the DJM-900. Native control with serato makes this puppy worth it for me. The displays are wonderful and easy to see.

Hands down, best digital cd player on the market. With HID native support for Serato or Trackor, the CDJS are definitely a must have for pros. I really like the USB capability to play music off single flash or external drive, and link to another player. Make sure you're drives are FAT32 formatted.
