I bought this unit 8 years ago to add a CD player to my truck. It has worked faithfully for 8 years - every day! I have never had a problem with it; love it totally. I think I paid $50 to install and maybe $100 for the unit. I have never regretted it. SO....I bought a new (used) car that has only a 1 CD dash mounted unit. I really don't like changing the dang single CD all the time from boredom with one CD so here I am buying another one for my new car. I love these things!! I totally recommend them!

Excellent product, works as advertised. Instructions for installation and operation were clear and precise. After install, took off in MH for a trip over some pretty rough roads, the changer performed flawlessly. Could not be happier with the product.

could not fine any dealers on amazon.com that had this item in stock (cdxfm687) bought the item local.

this cd changer was a bargain compared to all other changers i looked at on amazon.com. and it even had the amazon store as seller. i got it for almost $50 less than others listed as new. the installer had problems with the connection between the changer and the lcd readout on the dash of my car. he had to tape it in an awkward position to keep the display from going dark. he said this would only be a quick fix to the problem. maybe the changer was NOT a new produdct. i also had problems on the road with radio stations bleeding thru the music as i passed thru large cities. amazon is welcome to exchange the changer but i'll end up hiring the installer to take this one out and install the replacement changer which will cost me more than the changer itself. i should have gone with an in-dash single cd-player with mp3 technology to avoid all these problems. lesson learned??? go with newer technology eventhough you THINK you're speding more money! on the road to az...
