So for a long time I've wished to learn how to mix and use Traktor. I choose this software because I have a large group of friends that use it professionally to help me. I have to say the ease of setting this up and diving right in with learning has impressed me a great deal. The equipment feels solid and I love that the decks have a layout similar to the Pioneer CDJ products. So far I've been having fun and I feel that this equipment will last me a good while. I can't speak for anyone with lots of DJ experience but coming from a total novice, I highly recommend this.

I will say though that so far I have found myself wishing the version of Traktor that shipped with it had come with more effects, but this may be addressed in an update in April. Other than that, kill switches on the mixer would of been nice, but not necessary for me.

First I was scared because after I bought the ddj I started reading that the s4 was better and that it wasn't too good, but you have no idea! the ddj feels great! the knobs and the jog wheels have a great response, the audio quality is also amazing! what can I say it's really all you need. Couldn't be happier and i am glad i bought this instead of another mixer! worth every penny! the only negative thing i would consider is that it comes with a very limited version of traktor is kind of a LE but with a bit more effects! and it's not true that your computer heats up when you have the ddj above your keyboard.
The best features i would say that are the needle search and the way they organized the knobs so that everything is right where it should be!
well as i said couldn't be happier thanks to pioneer for developing an awesome product!
