Built for the Digital Age

On top of playing traditional audio CD's, the DEH-1300MP also reads and plays MP3 and WMA file formats. This means your can pack more music onto a single disc for extended playback on those long road trips. The DEH-1300MP also features Pioneer's very own Advanced Sound Retriever, a technology that digitally enhances compressed audio such as MP3 for a rich, full, dynamic sound quality to your music collection.

Pioneer DEH-1300MP Angle
Front-panel auxiliary input for connecting external audio devices.
Pioneer DEH-1300MP Remote
Full-function remote is included.
Jack of All Trades

The DEH-1300MP features a universal 3.5mm mini-jack auxiliary input to allow playback from your favorite portable media player. This simple plug and play audio connection provides a level of sound quality that leaves FM transmitters and cassette adapters in the dust.

Tune In. Turn It Up.

The DEH-1300MP incorporates one of the most advanced AM/FM tuners ever built, the Supertuner IIID. Combining the best of digital and analog tuner technologies, Supertuner IIID reduces distortion to deliver exceptional FM and AM band performance. Whether you're driving the open road where radio signals can be weak, or maneuvering the dense urban environment, Supertuner IIID faithfully delivers your favorite stations with brilliant clarity.

A Musical Powerhouse

Compared to conventional amplifier ICs commonly used in car headunits, the DEH-1300MP's MOSFET amplifier circuit provides higher power with minimal distortion and practically zero device switching noise. This means that your music sounds clear and solid when played at higher volumes. With the DEH-1300MP's RCA pre-outs, you can easily attach an amplifier to your system to drive speakers or a subwoofer.

Get Right to Your Music

A sleek design, intuitive interface, and large LCD display means that you'll spend less time searching through menus, and more time listening to the music you love. You can also control your tunes from a distance with DEH-1300MP's included remote control.

Thank you Pioneer for a great product, and I highly recommend buying a good amplifier and subwoofers to go with this.

I bought this car audio system for my husband for our first anniversary, because it's what he asked for---knowing ZIP about car stereo systems! I was happy to be able to find the features he wanted described clearly...so it made my shopping experience easy even though I didn't know what I was doing!
This stereo is exactly what he wanted and he was THRILLED at the price! It plays our MP3 players, CDs, and even MP3's burned to CDs--BEAUTIFULLY! AND the tuner is AWESOME too!
For $60.00 something dollars, MORE than worth the price! I can't see why anyone would pay more for something else, and Pioneer brand too!
Amazon you Rock!

Pioneer has made a great upgrade over the DEH-1200MP with this new one DEH-1300MP. Looks wise it beats the DEH-1200MP hands down. Installed this without any problems and with the Loud feature in this receiver set to high the factory installed speakers are sounding just fantastic. This is the best budget receiver you can get and its Pioneer which stands for its quality. Hope it helps.

I was looking for a basic radio/CD to replace the original. This Pioneer DEH1300 is great. The features are what I expected, had a clock, and the CD works! I wanted to install it myself to save some money and it was relatively straightforward to install. Only additional expense was the wire harness and the faceplate for my car. Excellent price. I'd rather green highlights, rather than the red, but I can't argue the price.

I bought the Pioneer DEH-1300MP CD Receiver with MP3/WMA Playback and Remote Control because my other stereo broke, and I really wanted one with an auxiliary input so I could stop messing with CDs in my car and just play my MP3 player through the car stereo instead. I was attracted to this model because of the relatively low price, the Pioneer brand, a sufficient power rating, and the fact that it had all the features that I'm interested in and not a lot of others that I don't care about. I could not be happier with the results.

My old stereo was the same size and installed the same way as this one, so installation was a breeze. After installation I turned it on, cranked it up, and couldn't believe how good it sounds compared to my old one. I needed to tweak the equalizer settings to get optimum sound out of it, but in the end it just sounds awesome, especially considering the price of this thing (I paid $62.50). I have no external amp or subwoofer (although this unit does have preamp-outs if that's what you want), just have this hooked up to two Kicker 4" speakers in the front and two Pioneer 6 x 9's in the rear. I haven't used the CD player or the remote yet (and maybe I never will), so can't comment on those. But I find the controls intuitive for the most part, am extremely happy with how this unit sounds, and LOVE being able to play everything on my MP3 player without having to mess with CDs anymore.

Installed two of these over a weekend in my brother's vehicles (1995 Ford Econoline van & 1999 Ford Escort). Both had older aftermarket units which had failed one way or another. He just needed basic AM/FM radios that work in case of evacuations in Florida due to hurricanes. I have always had good luck with Pioneer car stereos and especially like the FM tuners (Supertuner) for their ability to lock onto stations with a minimum of FM multipath effects (albeit with some reduction in channel separation at times as the tuner "blends" the channels to avoid noise).

The Pioneer DEH-1300MP didn't disappoint us with its performance, looks, or features. It is nice to have the Aux-In jack on the front panel as well as the ability to play MP3/WMA discs and remote control although we didn't really have those features as requirements for our purposes.

Overall, though, the combination of features for the Amazon price was tough to beat. I should note that both of these vehicles had previous aftermarket installations so we did not need to buy new wiring harnesses or fit kits to make them work. If you have a vehicle which needs these, make sure to take into account the cost as well as the effort to install the kit and wire the harness. With cars like the older Escort, this can be non-trivial since the fit kit actually replaces the entire dash module containing the radio, heater, A/C, and rear defroster controls.

This Pioneer deck blows away the Sony Xplod I had before. The MOSFET tuner in this low price deck is the same as in their high end decks, so you get the top quality without paying for any extras you don't need.

I recently purchased this unit solely for the auxiliary input on the front (which my previous Pioneer unit didn't have). My goal was to be able to play my iPod in the car without having to use an FM transmitter. The unit was fairly easy to install, though it's a shame I had to rewire the harness (I had hoped my previous Pioneer unit's harness would match).

The faceplate doesn't feel locked in as solidly as my previous unit. The installation manual also leaves a fair amount to be desired (and I concur with another reviewer's gripe that the text is way too tiny).

Be forewarned that connecting your MP3 player via its headphone jack to the input on this unit isn't advised: the levels are way too low in that case. When I first tried it, I figured the radio was busted. It turns out the volume was just way too soft. After doing some research, I found that an iPod-to-3.5mm connector wire was just the right goods. The one I bought was cheap and works great: Cables To Go 35508 iPod-Compatible 3.5 mm to Dock Connector Audio Cable (4 Feet)
