Good Product, Good Price,

Pros
Clean, strong CD and Tuner sound Easy-to-operate remote control Attractive styling Customizable three-band EQ 3 RCA outs Front Auxiliary input Reads MP3/WMA/Wave Lots of text space to read titles and track information Cons Bright blue volume LED light can be distracting Small control knob surrounded by function buttons Amplifier hiss detectable from Auxiliary input Detachable face tricky to install I installed this receiver in a 1995 Honda Civic, and it has been paired with Kicker coaxial 6.5" speakers. The installation went pretty smooth considering this had been my first installation, and it was especially rewarding when I powered the unit up for the first time. Overall I am happy with the unit; the Supertuner is far superior to the stock radio that preceded it, and the audio quality is very good considering the price point.

Could be better.,

I was in the market for a new head unit for my corolla and jumped on the chance to get this player way below retail price. So I got it. Unfortunately, for me it's pretty looks do not make up for it's shortcomings.
First off, I do not know why manufacturers make push button/ knob type controls for aftermarket radios like this. It's a complete pain, especially in this player. I mean how many of you here who have this unit can honestly say you haven't mistakenly pushed the button (that switches from cd-radio,etc) while trying to put the volume up or down turning the knob? Really? It gets really frustrating after a while, that I'd rather use the control! Another thing is the cd player sensitivity. Got some badly scratch discs? Don't try in this, it won't play at all! Heck my older jvc head unit could play those discs without a hiccup! Thumbs down in that department. Another thing I found rather annoying was the random command. Let's say you want to skip that random song you just put on, guess what? It goes to the next song in order NOT RANDOM! Sound wise, I can't complain. It has excellent sound for a cheaper unit. Heck you can even connect your subs to it (and control it) which is pretty cool. The remote is more useful than the head unit controls itself which is a big plus. The other thing I like is of course the mp3 player connections, which means more music (no skipping) etc another big plus. In all I think this head unit is decent, but could be better. Like totally get rid of push button/turn knobs, they are not practical while driving. It's best to use push button only, that way if you hit a bump or something the only thing that would happen is the volume would go down or up (depends) instead of losing cool because the frickin' thing switched to something else. Plus they should really fix the cd readability. They should work on making it more reliable. In all a 3 is deserving of this unit.

Clear, rich quality sound for a good price,
This review is from: Pioneer DEH-P3900MP CD Receiver (Electronics)
The factory CD player finally died. I did not want to spend too much money for a replacememnt. I decided to buy this player because it was pretty basic and it had everything that I needed for a reasonable price.
I have this hooked up to an amplifier and the sound quality is great. I am hearing background instruments on songs that I have been listening to for years that I never heard before! The biggest difference I noted was the quality of the sound coming through from the radio tuner. It is the best I have heard. It's like listening from a CD. It also gives details of the track names and lot's of various equalizer options from vocal, to powerful to super bass. The only problem I have is the size of some of the buttons. The preset radio buttons are really small and I have experienced an AM radio station that I normally listen to, to have some interference (high pitched noise)which I never had with the factory stereo. It also comes with a remote control but I never get to use it.

Great Radio/cd,
This review is from: Pioneer DEH-P3900MP CD Receiver (Electronics)
I got this player to replace my stock tape player in my Honda. I wanted a good one and did not know if this would be good enough for me....Wow...what clear precise sound. I had already put in a pair of Pioneer 6x8's in the back. When I took it out for a test drive I stoped at the wal mart and got me some more pioneer 5 inch speakers for the front. This supertuner is just as good as I had expected. I got one when I was a kid and it far exceded any other radio for picking up distant stations. This one is no different. Plenty of power for a four speaker set up. It will really kick. Just what I needed for my car. Wal mart has the adapters for pluging it right in to most cars with the wire codes matching. It has hook ups for the extra power amp if you are in to the boom boom but im not there yet. Perhaps one day but I got plenty of boom for the buck already.

Great sound and electronics.
Buttons as has been mentioned, were designed by a moron who never tested them to see if they can be reasonably used. Pioneer should know better. A better design would have been easy. Faceplate delicate. Watch out. I treat mine like a golden russion egg. Dropped it once 2 feet now half the leds aren't working.

The Player provides very good sound quality and I'm using Pioneer speakers. The CD player works gr8 without skipping even if the road is bumpy. Many settings for adjusting the sound.
I higly recommend it for the audio quality it provides for such a cheap player (I payed 1 year ago ~ $125) I has aux in, cd player, tunner. Solid detachable pace plate (doesn't come with a protective case). Some minor cons: - if CD playback in set to Random mode, by pressing next goes to next track. I would expect to go to next random track. - radio tunner increments match only the odd stations (ending in .1 .3 .5 .7 .9)

I have always owned Pioneer and have never, ever had a problem with one. This comes with a auxiliary in on the front for easy MP3 connection. And has two rca outputs for amps and one for a subwoofer so you can tune it seperately. I got the optional iPod adapter and it plugs right into the back and works great for scrolling through music. If you are looking for a really affordable, high quality cd player, I would definitely suggest this.

Review of Premier DEH-P390MP,

This is an excellent product and provides a good quality of sound output without any additional amplifier or equalizer. However, it would have been nice if the remote controller was designed with an eject button. My appreciation goes out to sigmaenterprises (vendor)that supplied me with the Premier model (instead of canceling the order)after their supply of the DEH-P3900MP was depleted.
