GREAT STEREO FOR THE PRICE,

I live in a bad neighborhood in central Phoenix and have had several stereos stolen from my car( about one a year) whether I pull the face off or not. Needless to say, I no longer want to spend big bucks on my sounds and this stereo fit the bill pricewise. For an inexpensive stereo you get clean, crisp, customizable sound, an I pod or mp3 plug on the face, and a great tuner. The last stereo i had cost nearly 3 times what I payed for this and it would not catch my favorite FM station from the other end of town. This stereo catches it clear and loud. I recommend this stereo for anyone on a budget who demands quality sound.

Great no-frills factory radio upgrade receiver.,

I did a lot of research on upgrading my old and worn out factory radio on my Toyota Camry. I was looking for something that did all of the basics (play discs and had an AUX input). I didn't need all of the ipod bells and whistles and was looking for a unit that was budget friendly but had nice audio. After purchasing 2 different receivers, which turned out one of them wasn't compatible with my factory wiring and the second had install difficulty and lower than average sound specs. I came across this Pioneer here on Amazon. The install was a breeze. Fit and looked great in my dash. The sound quality and features were up there with the other major brands. This unit packs more than enough power to liven your music collection up even without a seperate amplifier.I like the 3 band EQ especially to tailor all three frequency ranges (bass, mids and treble) and the SuperTunerIII radio reception is nice even in my rural area. If you just want a receiver that plays your pre-bought and burned CD's and maybe plug an MP3 player into once in awhile, This one is worth a try.

I bought this CD radio to replace one in a Ford Pickup. I had to purchase a wire harness assembly to install it. The wire harness assembly came with installation directions. It was easier then I expected to install. The radio and C.D. player work wonderfully. I am very satisfied. I would recommend this as a replacement radio.

This is a quality name tuner at a great price. Does everything you want it to do. Instead of plugging a MP3 player into it, I plug in my Nokia 5800 express music cell phone into it, and the sound is awesum! has the adjustment to level the volume between the stereo and the Nokia or MP3 player. Just needed a 3.5 male/male cord. Don't let the price fool you it does everything the $$$$ ones do. Someone was crying about the fact that it doesn't play mp3's on a cd....why should it? I mean copy and paste tracks onto your mp3/cell phone is faster. Why make cd's at all? Anyways, contains everything needed for a clean install. I just wish all these Pioneer units had the same plug, it would save time with upgrading instead of having to rewire and replug. I'm updating my auto with four 6X8 3-way pioneer speakers, a ten inch 600 watt sub and this tuner and I bet it's going to sound great. This unit has no remote, but why do you need one seeing how easy it is to just reach over and adjust it?

Pioneer DEH11E SCD Receiver,

I bought this one because I did not want to spend alot of money on unit. I went with Pioneer because I think they hold up better, CD's keep playing. I've had other not so well know name players that sounded great, but stoped playing CD's after awhile.

Awesome Stereo on a Budget Price,
By Equalyzer "Old School Wingnut" (Oregon) - See all my reviews

I got this stereo for my '93 Saturn SL2. I got it to replace the FM-only stock head unit. I replaced the blown OEM speakers with 6.5' Jensens. First of all, I find this to be a fantastic stereo. It has plenty of power, the "Loud" amplifier setting does not have to be used all the time to get high-powered sound. Its three-band equalizer (+6 or -6 levels on all three) allows for precise control to match the speakers and cabin acoustics. It gives rich sound across all three bands. I noticed a 100% improvement over most stock stereos I've used even before replacing the speakers.
They were right to say this one has a Super Tuner: it picks up stations I didn't even know existed before. I drive 40 miles one-way through the mountains every day, and this stereo picks up stations about 100 miles away. Typically, stations more than 20 miles out get very staticky in Oregon, and most stock units allow interference from other stations in for a very muddied sound. This Pioneer doesn't do that: local stations here are intelligible for most of my trip, whereas stock units would force me to use MP3s or CDs less than halfway through the trip. I'm considering getting an antenna amplifier to see if I can get stations from California... The controls are intuitive, not too unlike what one would find on a stock unit. I like it much better than Pioneer's more expensive MP3/WMA CD units with no tuner preset buttons--it's next to impossible to even change the FM channel on those without looking at the manual! This one also matches the decor of my Saturn perfectly. It gives a high-tech, sleek edge without looking ridiculous. One probably could not find a more stock-looking aftermarket stereo without losing that little bit of shininess that the new ones have. Contrary to having "PIONEER" stickers all over my car that just beg for broken windows and a ripped-out dashboard, I would much prefer a more modest-looking stereo. This one fits the bill nicely. One won't find a better sounding stereo for the price, and it looks perfect for an OEM replacement. I highly recommend this stereo. And for the record: I've had this unit in my car for over a month now, it's a DIY install, and I see no signs of it failing.

I really like my new pioneer car stereo. It does everything I need it to do, mainly connects my ipod to the stereo. The only thing that is a little off is that the AUX mode for the ipod requires almost double the volume level, so i have to be careful not to blow my speakers when switching back to radio- maybe its the cord i'm using? Other than that, i'm stoked i get to blast my ipod tunes in the car once again!

Good luck finding a name-brand head unit with all these options for a better price. My only complaint is that the volume knob is too flush with the face. Makes quick volume adjustments tricky while on the road.

This replaced my old car radio which was terrible so much so i couldn't listen to the radio at all (even local stations) this works perfectly with customizable and preset equalizers, and it actually gets really good reception. it might not be the best out there but it is more than enough for a budget buyer. it can play cds AM/FM radio and it has an AUX plug for mp3s, gps and anything else that uses 3.5mm audio cable. A definite buy!
