I purchased this to put in my 1988 Fiero because it filled the hole left by the factory radio. Like all new radios, I wish the thing was controlled by a few knobs rather than a bunch of menus. If it took government regulations to require radios you could adjust and tune without taking your eyes off the road, I would be in favor of them. And I do not like government regulations! The radio is as easy to operate as any new radio and sounds much better than the factory high end Delco. I appreciate the ability to play CD's and it does that well. With the cables that I bought from another source, it was a cinch to install. I would recommend this radio, but I wish car radio manufacturers would wake up to the safty that is sacrificed to provide the look and gadgets that the kids like.

This item fits the Jeep TJ perfectly. A wiring harness adapter is available that makes it a snap fit to existing factory speakers. You may want to upgrade them to harness the power of this unit.

The unit has a myriad of features. It took me several days reading the manual and playing with the unit to become familiar with all the things it can do. This thing rocks!

I'm still not sure what I will use the remote control for, but maybe I will figure something out. Maybe it's for when you're sitting on the beach, or around a campfire and you want to control the tunes without going back to the Jeep?
